Keelung Night Market (aka Miaokou Night Market) is easily recognized with picturesque yellow red lanterns and flags 🏮🚩 The market is big offering many street foods that you seldom see in Taipei itself! 🍽 FYI, there's seating where you can enjoy your meal 🍛 infront the seller. We tried many foods, here is the highlight, famous pork braised rice 🍚 at stall no. 22 (00:20) where they served together with fat shrimp 🍤 soup. The braised pork 🥩 was tender , rich and savory served on top of hot, fluffy steamed rice 🍚 The soup was flavourful and much comforting with every spoonful 🍲 We also decided to try out pork feet and turned out no regret, the collagen rich meat was succulent, prefectly paired with mild hot sauce 🔥 There are varieties of chinese style "sandwiches". I recommend these: (00:40) burritos served with smokey roasted duck slices 🌭 and (00:46) roujiamo (meat sandwich) where fragrant shredded pork and veggies are stuffed in a crispy bun 🌯 Many more chinese foods like dimsum , deep fried seafood, many kinds of soup, definitely worth a try! #keelung #deliciousfood #nightmarket #taiwan #china #taipei #food #streetfood

The legendary night market at Keelung

Have always wanted to visit Keelung though I have been to Taipei a few times. Finally made our way there after our day trip to Shifen. This is a lively night market with numerous stalls of food and games to choose from. Although we were told they were famous for their seafood (since the port is nearby), we still went for our favourite - fried chicken and stinky tofu! Somewhere more than just Taipei

Recently been to Taipei and visited Keelung, had a really fun ride by the sea! It was fun and the view was stunning! The food market was absolutely amazing! I had so much of the local snacks. Definitely would come back again soon!#Taipei #keelung

This small outlying island, as the gateway to Keelung Port, has been guarded for more than 400 years. Geographically speaking, Peace Island can be divided into left and right sides. On the left is a seawater swimming pool (reconstructed from a nine-hole abalone farm). It is the best choice for the entire Taipei area to reach the seaside in 30 minutes. On the right is a unique landform such as a million people, a word hole, a tofu rock, a scorpion stone, etc. This is also the most anticipated part of Keelung. The sedimentary rocks and sandstones are cut by the northeast monsoon of nature, forming a unique tofu rock and mushroom head landform. A group of photographers watched the ebb tide of the Peace Island tofu rock and photographed a rare sunrise. The photo was discovered by CNN of the American Chinese website. Venice of Taiwan - Zhengbin Fishing Harbour

How To Go: Accessible via Public Bus Route 101 originating from Keelung Railway Station. What to Eat: There are a number of cafes nearby selling shaved ice also known as 剉冰 (tsuah bing) and opposite the harbour is a row of restaurants selling seafood where their freshness is almost guaranteed. What to See: The fishing harbour is also famous for its shops painted in rainbow colours which earned it a nickname "The Venice of Taiwan". There is also an abandoned shipyard opposite it which is said to be featured in the Avengers movie.

One instagram photography location to visit if you are at Taiwan-Keelung. Zheng Bin Fishing Harbour 正濱漁港, nice view of rainbow coloured buildings with a sea view. There are also boats parking around the area. 1 fun fact: the colours you see in front and the back is different, at the back of the building there are actually no colours. One of the best diving spot in northern TW!

A mesmerising scenic coastal area surrounded by beaches and striking landscape is at Chaojing Park, Keelung, Taiwan. Beautiful atmosphere you can have here in the nothern east of Taiwan, a really good place to relax, even they also have some spot provided for people who wants to dive here. The transportation itself is pretty conventient, you can take public bus from Taipei and walk for 15 minutes to the site.
