Photos of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

Ellen Breitstein Fortress, also known as the Stone Fortress, is 118 meters high and stands above the Rhine River. A small building appeared on the site around 1000 AD, and was converted into a fort in the centuries that followed. Later, it was destroyed by the French, and the Kingdom of Prussia also sent people to repair the fortress of Ellen Breitstein. This fortress was one of the most powerful of the fortresses built in Europe after 1815 and is still well preserved.
