Photos of Kurobe Gorge

Kurobe Gorge is the deepest V-shaped canyon in Japan. You can take a slow tram tour of the canyon, enjoy hot springs, and taste delicious food. The red train that you ride has a history of more than 40 years. The width between the rails is only 76cm, just like a toy in a playground. The whole journey is 20km, 1.5 hours, through 45 tunnels, 21 bridges, and travels through the valley. And on the tunnel, there are red maples on the two walls along the way, the stream is gurgling, and the scenery is very beautiful. One of the bridges is 55 meters long and is elevated in the depths of a 56-meter-high canyon. This is a representative scenic spot for the entire journey. Along the route, there are hot springs such as Kuroana Hot Springs, Shimono Hot Springs, and Mingken Hot Springs, which provide hot springs for Unazuki Onsen. You can get off the bus and enjoy the hot spring baths.
