About Liaoyuan: Liaoyuan City is located in the southern part of Jilin Province in the upper reaches of the Dongliao and Huifa rivers, where the Changbai Mountains meet the Songnen Plain. Its name reflects the fact that it is the source of the Dongliao River. It was the royal “Shenjing Paddock” during the Qing dynasty. Liaoyuan has a long history, with human activity dating back to the Bronze Age having been discovered. It is one of the important birthplaces of the Manchu people. Liaoyuan boasts abundant tourism resources, including Cilu Lake Ski Resort and Longshan Park.
