Commonly referred to as "LA Plaza" this museum tells the Mexican-American story of Los Angeles. The permanent exhibits are aesthetically pleasing and informative. A very short walk from Olvera Street, it only opened in 2011, is not that well know but is well worth walking through. Donations requested but entrance is free.
It's no wonder that the tour guides strongly recommend a place with a strong local cultural flavor. It's worth it.
