Kings Park is located west of Perth City, close to Australia's most beautiful university, the University of Western Australia, and is the largest urban park in the Southern Hemisphere. The terrain is high and overlooks the entire Perth and Swan Rivers and is a favorite natural resting place for Perth citizens. This 4 square kilometer, bushy, large park is full of trails and runways, with picnic sites, observation decks, wildflowers and playgrounds everywhere. It is the pride and joy of Perth City. One of the highlights in the Kings Park is the famous architect's designed Lotterywest Federation Walkway, a 222-meter long reinforced glass walkway that hovers over the banyan tree. The shelf is constructed so that people can walk on the canopy. Another highlight is the 170,000-square-meter botanical garden, which brings together more than 2,000 plants from Western Australia. In the spring, Western Australia's famous wildflowers will show you the colorful; every September, there is the Perth Wildflower Festival waiting for you to enjoy.
