Mount Nibo is very close to the town of Madeba, where Moses was buried and is now a pilgrimage site. On the observation deck next to the church, an Italian-designed sculpture depicts Jesus' suffering on the cross. The interior of the church is not very large, it is actually a gallery hall, but it will definitely surprise you. The scale and completeness of large mosaics on the walls and underground are truly stunning, and it is not easy to reach such a level back to 530 years. The most iconic work is the nomadic grazing scene, combining people and animals with a tree decoration. At Madeleine, a souvenir shop owner told me that the tree on the mosaic meant a cycle of life for them.
