St. George's Monastery is the first monastery in Bohemia. It is now the National Gallery, collecting Czech art works from the 14th to 17th centuries, including Gothic art, Renaissance and Baroque paintings of different periods. Successive Bohemian kings were buried here, and the basement of the monastery was the king's tomb.
