Last fall, I went to see the red leaves as the main activity of Hakodate sightseeing. I put my car in a large paid parking lot (400 yen) and walked along the sidewalk. There were several sample courses. It could take 15 minutes to 60 minutes or more. Everyone goes to follow "thousands of winds." We walked around the island for about 50 minutes, but there are plenty of attractions, there are quiet and mysterious sights. No hawthorn, but easy to wear shoes is a great place to find favorite autumn leaves.
