Pandao Temple (Wat Phan Tao), also known as Hemu Temple, is just around the corner from the Big Buddha Pagoda Temple. There is an ancient and exquisite all-wood hall in the temple, the whole is built with teak, pure Taibei Lanna style design, more than 280 years of history, is a gem-class hall in Chiang Mai City, is also one of the few wooden buildings. The Thai word Phan Tao means "1000 stoves" because it was once a Buddhist field, and it was named after the first temple to cast Buddha statues. The temple's main hall is composed of teak boards removed from the mold, and there are 28 huge teak columns under it. The hall also has a mountain-shaped roof cover with a snake motif, inlaid in colorful parquet lenses. The hall contains ancient temple bells, some ceramics, several Lanna-style gold-plated wooden Buddha statues, several antique cabinets, and the old Buddhist scriptures on palm leaves are stacked in the cabinet.
