The Mirabellgarten is small in size and the scenery is dominated by the shape and color of flowers and plants. A white building in the garden, Mirabell Palace, formerly known as the "Altenau Palace". The palace built by Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Leitnau in 1606 for Salome Alte. Salome was the daughter of the respected businessman and member William Alte at the time, and the favorite of the Archbishop Leitnau (in modern terms, the lover). After the palace was completed, he took a part of each of the two names and synthesized "Altenau". Its palace is known as "the most beautiful wedding hall in Europe". It is also one of the locations for the film "The Sound of Music".
