Magical San Gimignano!
While we spent time in many wonderful places, San Gimignano was the highlight of our trip! It has an indescribable beauty, wonderful shops/shopkeepers, delicious & varied food choices, & evokes a time...
it's a bit of a steep walk down and up again to see this fountain, but it was worth the effort, as it is an interesting construction and a nice subject for pictures.
Worth the walk to contemplate the town's ancient 'laundromat' - where everyone met to wash clothes and gossip. the water still flows through the system of large vats.
