Nanhu Academy is located on the north bank of Nanhu Lake in Qixian County, Anhui Province. In the late Ming Dynasty, Hongcun people built six private schools on the north side of the South Lake, also known as the "Yihu Sixth Hospital." In the 19th year of Qing Jiaqing (1814), the six courtyards were merged and named "Xiwenjia", also known as "Nanhu Academy". Nanhu Book Garden is an ancient academy with a traditional Hui style. The college consists of six parts: Zhidaotang, Wenchangge, Huiwenge, Qimeng, Wanghulou and Gengyuan.
