Jian'an Fort

Jian'anbao, an abandoned Ming Dynasty Tunbing place. Located in Jian'anbao Nature Village, Daheta Township, Xiangyang District, Daheta Village, north of the original Yushen Highway (Yulin Yishenmu), 30 miles from Yulin City to the south and 5 miles from the Great Wall to the north. It is one of the 36 battalions along the Great Wall of Yanxu Town in the Ming Dynasty. At present, there are more than 30 households in the castle. In 1990, the Jian'anbao site was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit at the municipal level (Xiangyang District), and in 2008 the Jian'anbao site was announced as a provincial cultural relics protection unit.

Jian'anbao is located at the top of Nanshan Mountain. Not far from here, there is a perfume village. The water is pooled, clear and sweet, and it is not frozen in winter. The winding Qingshui River flows slowly from the foot of the mountain and injects the bald tail river. The castle has three remaining brick coupons in the east, west and south for people to enter and exit. The most conspicuous part of entering the castle is the clock tower in the middle. According to the text, the building was first built in Hongwu three years in 1370, more than 100 years earlier than the entire castle, which can be seen that the castle was built around this building. There are about 30 residents in the city, scattered and empty, the whole castle. There were nearly 20 temples inside and outside the castle, which were built in the Ming and Qing generations. Now there are only a few places such as Niangniang Temple, Dragon King Temple, Sanguan Temple, Guandi Temple and so on.

I walked around the city wall of Jian'anbao, and after enjoying the historical and cultural experience of the vicissitudes of change, Jian'anbao left me a lot of accidents. Under the serious and common condition of the 38 battalion fort of the Ming Great Wall in northern Shaanxi, although the wall bricks of Jian'anbao were depleted, they could still preserve the unusually intact earthen city, perhaps because it is located in a border gate, away from the world, hidden in a remote desert. It is really not easy to retain all historical and cultural heritage. I look forward to Jian'anbao's performance in the protection of monuments and tourism innovation.
