Shaanxi, how can you not promote this place! The neglected millennium grottoes

Shaanxi Province is vast, and what people often mention are mostly Guanzhong and southern Shaanxi. But in northern Shaanxi, there are still many treasures worth paying attention to. Last autumn, due to work, I accidentally discovered a thousand-year-old temple hidden in the gullies of Jia County, Yulin, Shaanxi—Buddha Hall Temple. ● The temple is built on the hillside of the loess plateau, with morning bells and evening drums, eaves and tiles, old and simple. The pines and cypresses are lush, quiet and peaceful. ● From the outside, it doesn't look very special, but inside there are 4️⃣ very hidden millennium grottoes (see picture 8️⃣). ● The first grotto, starting from the north, is the main grotto, containing seven exquisitely carved stone deities and one stele, with the main deity being Sakyamuni. ● The second grotto houses Ksitigarbha; this grotto is the largest, with a depth of 7 meters, a width of 6 meters, and a height of 4 meters. ● The third grotto houses Guanyin, and the fourth grotto houses the Three Skies Goddesses. ▶️ Written at the end The temple was built during the Song Dynasty, and the most valuable part should be the grottoes. After a thousand years, the remaining colors on the Buddha statues and the naturally formed patterns on the stone walls, like the Milky Way and the universe, seem to tell the glory of that era. Although the grottoes are exposed to the natural environment, making them feel like the most authentic existence, I also hope that these cultural heritages can be scientifically protected like the relics in museums.🙏🏻
