great hike, absolute spectacular views as you can see 1000% worth the experience, approx take 30-1 hour to get up there. museums as well but didn’t go in them.

The cost of the lift up to the top is very cheap and cost 5 euros for two of us to go up. It is free to walk either up or down. Amazing views of Alicante once you are at the top. There are places to sit and have a quick drink which is great for when the weather is too hot! A good way to spend a few hours during the day time of your holiday.

Santa Barbara Castle is one of Spain's most famous castles, which has been around for more than 1,000 years and is located on the high ground on the edge of Alicante Beach. Although it has been preserved for thousands of years, it is relatively intact. Standing on the castle overlooking the entire beach is really spectacular. The castle still retains the cannon of the time, which shows how important the coastal defenses were.

The best views of the city. Beautiful castle very well maintained, with nice restaurants.

Recommended for light climbing. The view from the top was the best.
