The Great Wall of China left us speechless. It’s definitely one of the most impressive places we’ve seen in the entire world.

The autumn wind is bleak, and it takes half an hour to get to Badaling from Qinghe Railway Station early in the morning. After a short rest and breakfast, we started to visit the scenic area. Make sure to come on normal days and not on holiday or else it will be a hassle to travel with thousands of people. Be ready to climb flight of stairs. The Badaling section of the Great Wall is the most popular, dates from Ming dynasty and its highest point is 1015m (Beibalou). Yanqing county is located 80km away from Beijing downtown. There's a cable car to go up and a slide to come down, which is absolutely thrilling for kids! However, the terrain here is quite steep 😰, and it requires a certain level of physical fitness! 😜 💥Badaling Great Wall: This is one of the most famous sections of the Great Wall! The saying 'He who has not been to the Great Wall is not a true man' refers to this place. There are quite a lot of tourists 😥, but the facilities are also very well developed 👏. If you want to have an easier visit, you can take the cable car up, and the cable car's end is very close to the highest point of the Badaling Great Wall, where you can basically overlook the entire panorama 😄. Having been a 'true man' twice, I still find the Great Wall truly magnificent and spectacular. Unfortunately, it was too windy that day, and the northern part of the Great Wall was closed, as were the cable cars, so I could only take the underground cable car to the southern part of the Great Wall. The scenery of the Great Wall at Badaling is indeed beautiful, but I have to complain about a few things: 1. The underground cable car had no seats at all!!! You could only stand, and it took less than 3 minutes, yet a single trip cost 100 yuan. I suggest that those who are physically fit and have time could choose to hike instead. 2. Commercialization, the commercial offerings at Badaling are very comprehensive, but it's too commercialized for my taste. I personally prefer the Mutianyu Great Wall, which is closer to nature. 3. Crowds, I went to Mutianyu during the May Day holiday three years ago, and this year after the May Day holiday I visited Badaling, and there were even more people at Badaling.
