This looks like it has been very recently cleaned or restored. It is the main entrance from the City side to the Cathedral grounds and it certainly sparkles in the sunlight.

The restoration of Christ Church Gate has now been completed and you can see it in all its glory. The statue of Christ that goes in the central niche will be put back soon.

The gate to the district of the Cathedral is really impressive. It's worth a close look. Entry cards are available right next to the gate.
