Visitor Center in Shirakami mountains
Visitor center in Shirakami Mountains. However, at the entrance of Shirakami Mountains, cedars are conspicuous instead of beech. The location is "disappointing".

A facility located in Fujisato Town, the entrance to the Shirakami Mountains. It was near the hotel Yutoria Fujisato where I stayed, so I visited after a walk. The facilities are clean and comfortable, but there are no people, so you can take a calm tour. It's not very wide, but it's nice to be able to learn the color of the Shirakami Mountains 々 mainly on the Akita Prefecture side.
Beauty of Shirakami Mountains
About 15 minutes by car from Futatsui Station. It is a beautiful building with high ceilings. The sales office called "Mori no Eki" was adjacent and the parking lot was large. It was an exhibition that shows the beauty of the Shirakami Mountains, such as panels and photos. If you stop by before climbing or taking a walk, you can get information. The two staff I met were very kind.
