Activities are active in protecting the rural stage in Tokushima Prefecture. Kamiyamacho is a mountain town in the upper reaches of the Akuigawa River in the Yoshino River system. There is a rural stage in this place called Shinryo. Many rural stages still remain in Tokushima Prefecture, but few remain in the Yoshino River Basin. This stage is also a very valuable cultural heritage.
