The only forest that you can enter without a guide
Original Text
You can explore the thick forest. It's a parting place, but I really like the large rocks on the way and the space of the stream that flows next to it. It is the happiest time to spend leisurely on the rocks in this place rather than going to the end of the road.
Since the surrounding forests are artificial forests such as bamboo and cedar, there was no mysterious atmosphere from the image of a giant forest. Looking back, it was a view of Kotsushima.
Visited while waiting for a helicopter on the way back. This is a trekking course that is close to the village of Mikurajima and can be reached without a guide. I trekked to Nango in the morning, so I didn't feel the power, but it is recommended as a course that you can easily go to.
Enter the mountain from the trailhead near the heliport. If you walk for 20 minutes, you will reach the giant tree. You won't get lost in particular. It is said to be one of the symbols of the island, but it is too short for mountain climbing and trekking. It seems that a guide is essential for mountain climbing and trekking on the island, so it is recommended to make an early reservation.
There is an entrance beyond the village toward the heliport. It is recommended for those who want to take a walk in the forest casually because you don't need a guide and you can go there in an hour. That said, it's a mountainous road, so I think it's a good idea to go with sneakers, such as Gyosan or beacon.
