Jiezi Garden

Li Yu was a literary, opera and garden architect at the end of the Ming and early Qing Dynasties, a pioneer of leisure culture, and a cultural giant who has achieved many achievements. The garden was built by Li Yuyu in Kangxi in 1668. Because it covers less than three acres, it is named "the dumpling" for "the shape of its micro". Under the finely carved Li Yu, it is one of the smallest and most classic gardens in the history of the garden. In my opinion, Li Yu should be a living family. Li Yu's "Idle Love Mail" involves opera, singing and dancing, costumes, repairs, gardens, architecture, flowers, instrument play, recuperation, food and other aspects of art and life. In 1935, Lin Yutang's English version of "My Country and My People" gave the book a very high evaluation, thinking that the book is "the Chinese life art guide." By the way, the mention of Yu Weng in Figure 9 is Li Yu's number.

The hidden courtyard in Laomen Dongli has only three acres of area, but the small bridge and flowing water, piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. After all, it is Li Yu's old residence at the end of Qing Dynasty, which has a certain status in the history of Chinese gardens. There is also Li Yu's exhibition hall, where you can learn about the past and present lives of the dumpling garden.

The garden is a scenic spot in the historical and cultural district of Laomen East in Nanjing. It is the only scenic spot in the entire Laomen East Scenic Area. This is the place where Li Yu lived in his later life. Although the garden is still good, I have seen the Jiangnan garden and then see this small garden that requires an extra fee. It doesn't feel much.

The garden is located at No. 32 Santiaoying, Qinhuai District, Nanjing. It is now in the historical and cultural district of Laomendong. According to my guess, there is still a distance from Li Yu's garden in history, and it is estimated that the original site should be further east. Li Yuyouwen: "Xiaohou Taiqian", Xiaohou, Zhou Chu also, the dumpling garden should be close to the location of Zhou Chutai. Now the dumpling garden has a small (" dumpling" originally meant) garden, but it is quite exquisite. There is also a garden culture exhibition hall, there is a life introduction of Li Yu, there is also Li Yu's works, there is a comprehensive exhibition area. In addition, there is a display of Li Yu opera artists, which has not yet opened.

The garden is in the Laomen East Scenic Area, and it is also the only paid attraction in the scenic area. Recarved buildings, where Li Yu lived in his later years. Small gardens like Nanjing have been rehabilitated a lot, so they look unusual.
