This is a fairly steep slope of about 100m that climbs a hill from Sakaimachi Hondori in Otaru (a tourist attraction with a historic building). You can see Otaru Port from the top of the slope.
Since it was displayed in the navigation system, I visited while taking a walk around the area. The actual slope was buried in snow, and although there were traces of people passing by, I didn't have the courage to go up with my own feet. It seemed better to visit when there was no snow.
It is a steep slope that goes up along the cliff from between "Otaru Ezoya" and "Isobe" on Sakaimachi-dori. A 20% slope display board stands in the middle of the slope. When you look back on the 々 while climbing the slope, Otaru Port gradually enters a wide range of visibility. At the place where you go up the slope, there is the former Itaya residence (currently the high-class restaurant Kaihoro), which made a fortune in the shipping industry, and in the vicinity, an economic man who once came to Otaru and succeeded in setting up a mansion.
