The Chalong Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Phuket, built in the 19th century. The temple has a 60-meter-high Sheli Tower "Chedi", which serves the Buddha's Sheli. The Sheli Tower is three stories high, and visitors can go up to the top terrace, overlooking the entire Chalong Temple. There are hundreds of golden Buddha statues donated by good faith in the Shelita, and the walls and smallpox are decorated with paintings depicting the Buddha's life.
