    HISTORY

    I was staying at an apartment in Namba and this Temple was just minutes away....Glad i went. its added to the visit i did at Osaka Castle. Sacred and History in these temples and grounds.

    The first thing that impresses me here is the vermilion torii gate at the entrance of the temple. The torii gate is a tripod torii gate that is extremely rare. I would like to see the attached photo. Also, it is a temple that is integrated with the adjacent Shiramine Palace. It is a temple of the Shingon sect Omuro school, and the principal image is an old temple that is said to have been founded by the Eleven-faced Kanzeon Bosatsu and Gyoki during the Tenpyo era. It was an ordinary temple as a pilgrimage temple.
