Oh, there’s really nothing like a sunny day to hit up the Oriental Pearl and check out Shanghai from up high, like 263 meters up high! For just 160 RMB, you can explore 3 different levels of the tower. First up is the spot at 259 meters, where the view is just awesome. Plus, there are some cool souvenir shops to poke around in. After you’ve checked out that floor, you can head up to the 263-meter mark, where there’s this glass floor observation deck. It’s kind of the best place to hang out and take it all in, but you might have to wait a bit to get a spot all to yourself. Totally worth it for that killer photo, though. When you’re heading back down, don’t miss the floor in the biggest ball of the tower, where everything’s got this pink glass vibe, and you can even play some arcade games. Seriously, if it’s your first time in Shanghai, you’ve gotta make a stop at the Oriental Pearl. It’s a fantastic way to see the city from above and just soak in all those skyscraper views. So today, while rushing to set in Lujiazui, I came back to see them again. Lujiazui in Pudong is one of the most charming places in Shanghai. Especially when the lights are on, the Oriental Pearl Tower looks like a string of pearls falling from the sky, shining brilliantly with the Shanghai Tower, the Global Financial Center, and the Jinmao Tower. Today, we took a set of aerial photos with a drone to explore the charming night of Lujiazui from a different perspective. The Shanghai Tower is the tallest skyscraper in China, and also the second tallest building and the third tallest structure in the world, with 119 floors and a height of 632 meters. In the middle is the Jinmao Tower located at No. 88 Century Avenue in Pudong New Area, and in front is the Oriental Pearl Tower, which has been in use since 1994. Beside the Oriental Pearl Tower are the International Convention Center, the Shimao Tower, and the Shangri-La, all of which are very representative landmark buildings. From the air, you can see the full view of the Huangpu River, with the Bund building complex in the upper right corner and the Lujiazui Riverside Avenue in the lower left corner. Don't go to visit the Huangpu River Sightseeing Tunnel. It's not worth spending dozens of yuan to see a tunnel with lights. You can take a ferry for 2 yuan to tour the Huangpu River. Don't buy souvenirs or eat in Tianzifang, it's all a trap. You don't need to go to the Oriental Pearl Tower to overlook the entire Huangpu River. You can go to the Cloud Bookstore, which is 52 stories high. The snacks in the City God Temple are not recommended, it's completely a commercial street. Wukang Building must be visited during the day to appreciate its beauty. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is very convenient for shopping. The largest NIKE in Asia and M&M's are here, but don't eat here. You must take the ferry, with 2 yuan you can enjoy the night view of Shanghai.

Getting There - Take Line 2 on the metro to Lujiazui. Exit doesn't really matter as there is a long bridge walkway taking you to the entrance. Attractions - Oriental Pearl Tower: The ticket we purchased for 319 RMB included the sightseeing deck (1 levels, one is the transparent observatory), the SH museum and the Lightpainting exhibition which was the highlight! Food & Restaurants - Buffet for an extra 210 RMB in the revolving restaurant Shopping - Loads of tidbits to buy, souvenirs etc mainly for tourists You can purchase tickets via a QR code at the door but beware the guys don't speak much English and told us we had access to everything in the tower including lunch for 319 RMB which was not the case. The space capsule (top ball) is an extra 80 RMB but sure there are more expensive packages that include this. Buy on Trip for 199 instead! #historicculture

🌆 🎡 🍜 🛍️ In the morning, first go to Shanghai's landmark - Oriental Pearl Tower🎡 for a tour, appreciate the beautiful scenery of Shanghai, and take a look at the famous Huangpu River Bridge and the skyscrapers in Pudong New Area. Next, go to taste Shanghai's breakfast. You can go to Nanxiang Bun Shop to taste the traditional Xiaolongbao, or go to a roadside stall recommended by locals to eat Shanghai's fried dough sticks with soy milk.🍜 At noon, stroll around Shanghai's bustling commercial area - Nanjing Road, visit various shopping malls and adjacent pedestrian streets. If you are tired, you can have afternoon tea in the petty bourgeois area of Tianzifang near the Bund to relax.🛍️ In the evening, go to the Bund to see the dusk of the Binjiang Avenue and appreciate the beautiful night view of both sides of the Huangpu River.
