I was able to get on one car ferry early, so I decided to stop by without planning. From the hill, you can see people walking on Angel Road on Asahi Island (Benten Island, Nakayo Island, Oyo Island) and it is an interesting view. The olive tree itself feels quite painful, but the leaves were sluggish. It's a little bit, but it's a little disappointing because it's raining. I might have been more impressed if it was sunny.

The 1000-year-old olive tree seems to have been carried from Spain and transplanted several years ago. It may be a tourist attraction, but I pray that it will take root without dying in Japan. From the observatory, you can see the Angel Road beautifully.

There was the tree in the lonely place on the hill. It was a location with a view of the sea. It seems that you can see the starry sky at night. (It was written on the signboard.)

素晴らしいロケーション

夜明け前20分に行ってみると、赤くなった水平線をバックに、大きなオリーブの木が枝を広げていました。周囲を整理して刈り払いしていっそう大きく見えます。小豆島におりが移植されて130年だそうですから、千年は大げさですが、これから千年の意味かな、と納得。最高のロケーションです！素晴らしいです！

観光バスは奥まで入れなかったので少々歩きました

2017年12月に2泊３日のツアーで1日目に訪問しました。大型観光バスで移動したため入り口付近で入り口付近で停車後に下車し徒歩5分程度歩いて到着しました。小豆島ヘルシーランドの敷地内の『オリーヴの森EAST』に植えられているようです。1950年3月15日に昭和天皇が小豆島ご巡幸の際にオリーブの種をお手蒔きされたのが始まりで3月15日を「オリーブの日」にされたようで、2011年の記念日に合わせて樹齢...
