Lots to see here just driving through
We just drove the state highway which much had been decimated by fire nearby. We saw lots of things, but finally spotted a moose which we had been scouting for. An amazing place.
A wonderful place to view nature
The paths are designed for easy access to viewing wildlife and nature. Park is easy to get around and there are birds galore. Wished I had more time there.
Great wildlife viewing
Made 3 drives through the refuge in 3 days. Great viewing of moose (11 spotted, including a mom and baby.) Saw long-earred owl, deer, fox, rabbits, pronghorn, prairie falcon, pelicans.... had the pla...
Pleasant drive but dusty
You will see plenty of water birds, white-tailed prairie dogs and perhaps pronghorns but the Greater Sage Grouse are hard to find. There are no walking trails.
Beautiful Area
The Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful area. Stop in the office there and chat with the volunteer working there! They are a wealth of information and they love to share it!! So much to...
