Anonymous user:“You have to go, how can you tell if it's fun here if you don't go and have a look. It's not far away, why not go in and take a look before leaving, right? Go and have a look, maybe it's worth the trip. You have to go, how can you tell if it's fun here if you don't go and have a look. 滇国剑客:“As part of the Red River Rice Terraces, it is a part of the world heritage together with the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. It is so spectacular. Looking at this crystallization of the collective wisdom of the ancient working people, people suddenly feel a sense of admiration.”
Open today at 07:30-18:00 (admission ends at 18:00)
Anonymous user:“The Dashilin Scenic Area is full of fun. You can explore different routes in the stone forest with your children. Every time you turn around, you can't help but marvel at the wonders of nature. The sun is very strong outside, but it is very cool in the stone forest. It is highly recommended.”
Open today at 08:00-18:00 (admission ends at 18:00)
Anonymous user:“The scenic area is free of charge for veterans. The plants are very diverse and have a rich practical teaching effect on the children's knowledge accumulation. We visited the West Garden, took a hot air balloon, and the children took photos with the royal lotus! It is recommended to bring children. There are battery car stops throughout the journey, which is not tiring.”
_We***78:“It was my second time to go to Banna, a family trip. The children were not really interested. We arrived too late and didn’t see the elephant show. Many of the photos were taken during the trip. It was nice to take a walk around and see the scenery of the Dai King’s Royal Garden.”
M27***60:“It would have been quite convenient to walk from Gantong to Xima Cao and then pay the 50 yuan per person difference to take the cable car down the mountain, but now you have to climb 1,200 steps to get to Xima Cao, which is a bummer. They are currently building another staircase or elevator nearby, so it may be improved in the future.”
Open today at 08:00-18:00(Tickets available until 16:30; admission ends at 16:30)
Julyfirst:“Wild Elephant Valley is a bit far from downtown Xishuangbanna. We drove there, and while the parking lot wasn't very busy, finding a spot wasn't difficult. There's also a shuttle bus from the downtown visitor center, and round-trip tickets are quite affordable. While you can't see wild elephants in the Wild Elephant Valley, there are performances by trained elephants. These elephants have experienced the world and aren't afraid of people. The performances consist of just a few simple moves.”
喵耳兔儿:“I rushed to buy Sunday tickets early Wednesday morning. They said tickets would be released at midnight, but it took a minute or two after midnight for them to be available. I recommend that older children purchase seats, even at half price, because the carriages are incredibly crowded. The free time at each attraction is quite ample, but restrooms can be a challenge. Girls, in particular, had to wait in line for a long time.
The only additional charge is the return shuttle bus fare to Tuanshan Mingju, or you can hike down the mountain. It's not expensive, only three yuan per person. Overall, the experience was good, but it wasn't as clean and inviting as advertised. It was quite crowded, and there were a lot of people smoking at the station.”
滇国剑客:“The scenery of this place is particularly primitive, and everything seems to be separated from the outside world by a thick "coat". It is precisely because of this that it can show its unique feeling and attract the attention of tourists.”
Annie长翅膀的喵:“The Tiger Mouth Terraces Scenic Area is located in the Hani Terraces in Yuanyang. The terraces in the deep valley are particularly spectacular due to their unique terrain. The Tiger Mouth Terraces are particularly beautiful at sunset. In the clouds and mist, the red, white and black colors complement each other, making them dazzling. Standing on the viewing platform halfway up the mountain, you can take pictures of the "fingerprints of the earth" intertwined by three mountain ridges at the same time. It is beautiful. The combination of the magnificent scenery of nature and the diligence and wisdom of mankind is amazing.”

Last year, I accidentally stumbled into Luchun, a small county hidden on the top of a mountain in southern Yunnan, which completely overturned my concept of travel.
