Shangcheng

Shangcheng is under the administration of Xinyang City. Located where the provinces of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui meet, Shangcheng is Henan's gateway to the southeast. Shangcheng has a long history and beautiful scenery. Located in the southwest of Shangcheng County, the Hengbaishan National Forest Park is covered in forest and bathed in fresh air. The forest is at quite a high elevation, and there are many mountain peaks there that rise over a thousand meters high. The area is rich in flora and fauna, including rare animals like Chinese giant salamanders, leopards, and Chinese pangolins. Other Shangcheng tourist destinations include the Jingangtai Geopark, the Tangquan (“Hot Spring”) Pool, and Guanyin Mountain.
