Oban is a resort town 160 kilometers 150 minutes driving away from Glasgow, you also can take trains or buses from Glasgow that will take you around 3 hours and 10 minutes. The seaside town is the gateway to the Isles, Mull, Iona and etc. It is a detour from the journey from Glasgow to the highland but it is worth it. Walking around the town is easy, with a lot of restaurants and marts. The ferry and train station is around 350 metres and 4 minutes walk. The oban fish and chips and the seafood green shack besides ferry exit is good.
