Location: Close to the temple. Good Complimentary breakfast: Better avoid and get something outside Restaurant food in lunch (Veg): Average to Poor Price: Expensive and not worth Facilities: Average Hospitality: Room boys helped in carrying the luggage. Someone (male) offered coffee during breakfast hours. Other than that we didn't feel anything good. Disturbing Factors : Check-in hours are noon. We reached at 4 pm and the room was not ready. We booked 2 rooms to use two washrooms but they asked us to use the same one and promised to keep it ready when we return. But luckily they made it ready before we left The same complaint was made by some other guests who also said their bedsheets were muddy and not clean One more family complaint that the restrooms were not fit to use. People who return from Girivalam or the temple will be tired and they need a calm place to rest but the staff was always arguing in loud voices in the corridor all the time. Even internal discussions or complaints sounded like fights and made the environment noisy Most disturbing Someone booked the room with breakfast. It was not internally communicated to the staff over there. He was waiting with his kid in the pantry for breakfast. Instead of offering him, she was continuously on call and arguing with someone to validate the payment. This can be discussed and confirmed separately during billing instead of making him wait in front of everyone.

On July 27, 2024, my group of Sagar Travels, checked into your hotel (reservation number: 10139) Overall, the accommodations were well-maintained, and the visitors were quite pleased. The food that was served (both in terms of quality and service) was the only real problem. Both the taste and the sequence weren't kept correctly. After the main course was served, soup was placed on the table. A sabzi was offered, but it was eventually burned and altered. Our stay was excellent, but the meal was of the exact opposite caliber. Many tour participants expressed dissatisfaction with the hotel and advised against booking it in the future. We are a 25-year-old company , operating over 35 tours within India alone. We have previously encountered minor food issues, but this time they were at their peak. We respectfully ask you to enhance the quality of your food and service, since it will be beneficial to you..

This is the best hotel to stay in when you visit Tiruvannamalai! The reception staff are very attentive and helped my group from Australia with every request. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the food is very good in the restaurant. Mr Rasool and his team could not do more for us. It really is a welcome oasis from the chaos of this holy city. Huge thank you to all the staff, we will be back next year! Heidi and Joe from Sundara Retreat in Australia

Good for solo traveller, cheapest in the town, but no nearby veg hotel, little difficult for pilgrimage purpose visit, otherwise it is manageable for other purposes.

Recently stayed at Hotel Athens in Tiruvannamalai for a short trip, and while the experience was generally okay, there were a few areas that could be improved. Location: The hotel is located close to Arunachaleswarar Temple and Sri Ramana Ashramam. This makes it a good choice for those visiting the town for spiritual purposes or sightseeing. Rooms: The rooms are decently sized, but they felt a little outdated. While the basic amenities like air conditioning and hot water were available, the furniture and fixtures could use some upgrading. Cleanliness was also an issue; while not terrible, the room didn’t feel as spotless as one would expect from a mid-range hotel. The bed was comfortable enough, but the linens looked slightly worn. Dining: The restaurant offers a limited menu with average food quality. While the South Indian dishes were tasty, there weren’t many options for those looking for variety. The service in the restaurant was a bit slow. Service: The staff were friendly and courteous, Facilities: The Wi-Fi connection was weak and inconsistent, which made it difficult to stay connected during the stay. Conclusion: Overall, Hotel Athens offers a basic, no-frills stay in Tiruvannamalai. It’s fine for short stays if you’re primarily there to explore the city or visit the temple, but there are a few areas where improvements could be made. For the price, it’s a reasonable option, though I’d recommend looking into other accommodations if you’re seeking more comfort or amenities.

Denied room service for lunch but the restaurant was open. Restaurant was not on the same premises so had to walk to have lunch. Next day morning ordered breakfast, the boy got it from an outside restaurant and not the one that we ordered from.
