We had stayed during December and we enjoyed the stay the lot. It was such a homely atmosphere and all the staffs were so humble and hospitable. The view of the deepam from the hotel was so clear. Each and every need of ours was met by the ***agement and we travelled as single ladies and thoroughly felt safe and secure. Special mention to Mr. Kumar who treated us like family and took care of everything for us. Thanks to Mr. John who took us to temple and helped us get such a peaceful darshan. Highly recommend hotel Athena to all travellers who come to thiruvannamalai. Bathrooms and bed were very neat.

I didn't know what to expect. This was a delightful hotel, set a little outside of the town. This turned out to be a blessing. The town with the temple can get extremely noisy. Every full moon tens of thousands of people descend on the town, the noise, the rubbish they generate is unmentionable. It takes two days to clear. The hotel is away from all that. Away from all the noise. At the same time you have beautiful views of *********a. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. I can't eat chillies , and they prepared special food that was tasty and without chillies. A perfect stay highly recommended.

Do not recommend this hotel. We booked in for four days. Day one - room allotted not what we were signed up for. Toilet seat broken. Reported this no action taken. Staff not helpful. day two - requested clean up of room no replenishment of stock of coffee powder, no water, no toilet rolls provided. Had to ask for this. Reception staff unfriendly and not helpful. Day three same result, no replenishment of coffee or water, had to ask for this multiple times before it was sent to our room. Day four same poor service and not a moment we felt that we were welcome at the hotel. Buffet breakfast was quite standard, four days of very similar type meals. We did have their a la carte menu food which was okay. All vegetarian food only. Would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning here again.

The location is very nice and location is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is very good. We liked the spacious building and being on the roof and the personnel is very friendly.

Perfect place to enjoy with family.. Rooms wre clean spacious and well maintained...friendly staff with effective hospitality ..food was very delicious and at price worthy.. thanks for the athena team..looking forward to meet u soon..

Nice food and accomodation. Staff is helpful and supportive. Location is very near to girivallam path. Nice view of ***na Giri from the hotel. Convenient and peaceful location. Best place recommended for piligrim families.

Whenever we visit Thiruvannamalai we prefer staying at Athena hotel as my kiddo love staying here, we are a family of 3 and we go ***** with my mother, so for 4 members we always take a suite room with a double bed both are queen size. Thanks to Mr.Kumar who always helps me in booking. His response is exceptional & Supportive. Staff are also friendly, quickly respond for any concern. They have a restaurant at ground where as they serve buffet breakfast & buffet dinner which is good worth for the price. Rather roaming here & there we always prefer having food here. Overall a very comfortable stay & I definitely recommend this hotel.

This was a repeat visit to this hotel. However this time around, i was rather unhappy with the handling of my request to cancel one nights stay. I had initially booked for 3nights stay and upon arrival i had immediately informed the hotel that i would like to change the length to 2nights. hotel asked to contact ******* where they will approve the change.
However, when this was initiated, the hotel rejected this while i was still there. this prolonged till checkout where the answer was "i have asked ***agement. still no answer".
I was not co****sated for the extra night i gave back to the hotel.

Old hotel, worn towels and bedsheets, dangerous bathroom as the tiles very slippery. No hot water in the evening or in the morning. no Internet service, said connected...but no access. Out of town.
