Unfortunately, our two night experience here wasn't as good as we'd hoped from looking at the photos and reviews on Tripadvisor. Upon arrival, staff seemed friendly and helped us up to our room with our bags. We booked a double room which was located one floor up from the reception. There was no noise from the reception area itself but we got very little sleep due to dogs barking throughout the night (all windows were closed). The room itself was a little dated and not the cleanest of hotel rooms (though it could have been worse). There were stains on the blinds, walls, bedding and fabric chair which were a little gross. Hot water worked fine for us and the minibar was restocked with the water which we had used. Staff were friendly when we saw them, but their presence was lacking at times and the hotel seemed very quiet. We were looking forward to sitting out on the large balcony up top (from which the views were stunning) but this area seemed neglected with the bar closed and no guests using it which was sad since we were looking forward to spending evenings chatting to others and relaxing as per the photos we'd seen. We can't comment on food as we didn't eat at the restaurant, though no one seemed to eat there in the evening. We borrowed bicycles (free of charge) from the hotel which was a brilliant way of seeing some of the phenomenal local area. Overall, our experience here wasn't great but it may have been a different story if we'd booked a better room on the other side of the hotel away from the noise of the dogs!

Mixed feelings about the hotel, it didn't look bad in the photos, they are super edited and made with some AI, however when we got there we found a few problems with the room, initially it was not exactly as shown in the photos. It had some details that became important, such as there was no remote control and it happened in more than one room, (I found out when I reported everything to the reception), the shower did not work properly, it did not hold to the wall so you had to be grabbing it, and the cleaning was not the best. I spoke with the manager a couple of times on the phone, (since he never showed up at the hotel) and after much arguing that they were not going to refund my money and that they were thinking of sending me to a hotel that from the photos looked quite poor as it should be. which I had already paid, after a while they changed us to a better one in which we had no problem. I was left with a bittersweet feeling since after the bad time a solution was reached, which was in my favor. It is worth mentioning that if it were not for the misleading images and the details that were made important, the hotel in general terms was quite good. (except for breakfast).

We spent four nights at Nan House and it was just brilliant - really well located to get to everything in Tam Coc by bike (which you can rent), but still really peaceful. Tuan and his wife were so helpful - going out of their way for us multiple times - and they were very patient and friendly towards our rambunctious two year old! You can tell they really care about the premises and their guests. Whilst we were there they were building a new children’s play area, which will be an amazing addition to the place. I’d highly recommend staying here - and don’t miss out on their delicious smoothies!

Such a lovely, calm oasis in Tam Coc. A beautiful little hotel that felt like a soft place to land after a rather busy week travelling around North Vietnam. The owner had a very clear vision of the atmosphere she wanted to achieve and it all feels very thought through. Everywhere there are little hand embroidered details- the signs, the key hangers, the linen. Really beautiful! There is a lovely little gift shop as well selling hand embroidered gifts. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the food is good. We truly enjoyed our stay and will think back on it as one of the highlights of our trip.

La habitacion cuenta con todas las comodidas y la cama es grande y comoda. La limpieza es impecable. Perfecta para una estancia de varios dias. El alojamiento cuenta con servicio de lavandaria, alquiler de bicis a 60000d al dia y moto. La hubicacion es excepcional, alejada del bullicio pero a 2 minutos a pie del centro. El personal muy amable. Totalmente recomendable.

The hotel is located in the mountains and is relatively quiet. The service is pretty good and the boss can speak a little Chinese. The hotel has motorcycles and bicycles for rent, and it is not far from nearby attractions. What I’m very unhappy about is: when I was traveling on May Day, the power kept tripping and going out, over and over again. It was over 30 degrees Celsius at night, it was hot and noisy, and I couldn’t sleep well.

Our arrival didn't go very well. The toilet didn't work and the manager immediately set to work to fix it but no success. So then he had to put us in the very last available room which was not as nice as what we booked. However, the next day we were given a new good room. Our booking included breakfast but no breakfast is served at the place. So he took us on a motorbike to a restaurant nearby where we were allowed to order a cheap brekfast. So don't book it with meals. Our main problem was that the manager guy spoke no English at all. You had to type your questions on his phone which translated it. That made you think twice before asking. Also he was always very serious, no smiles at all. But he did fix all the issues, so he is working hard. We actually wanted to book a room at Tam Coc FriendLY Homestay but somehow we booked this one by mistake. Even the taxi brought us to the wrong one, so beware of the difference! It is a little bit out of Tam Coc town, but very close to the Bich Dong Pagoda. There are a few Vietnames restaurants nearby, walking distance. The nice thing is that you can use the bikes for free. So we cycled to Tam Coc, Hang Mua and Trang An with the bikes provided. The homestay is on a side road, very quiet. It has a small swimming pool and there were kids in it enjoying it grately. The room is very large, the largest we had in Vietnam. It has AC, WiFi, fridge and kettle (bring your own supplies). The bathroom is also quite spacious but the shower goes all over it. The sink is outside the bathroom in the room, which was nice. Things were clean. We stayed here 3 days and once we knew how to operate (restaurants, bikes) we felt alright.

We stayed at this little hotel recently for two nights and really liked it. The rooms are comfortable and not expensive and Thuy is lovely and speaks reasonable English. Good AC and there is also a fan. Good location about 1/2 kilometre from Tam Coc centre. There is a great pool that we didn’t use as we were too busy sightseeing.
