We will also discuss some of the fabled residents of the two mansions the Club now occupies, including President James Monroe and his First Lady Elizabeth, and Civil War General Robert MacFeely. Amplifying the diverse voices of the DMV is critical, and we want people of all genders to know that they belong on stage. In spring of 2023, Grassroots Comedy created and launched an incubator program for underrepresented genders in comedy -- it was so much fun that we did it again and again, and this show features graduates from our fifth cohort of students! Welcome to the 3v3 Wheelchair Basketball Tournament where you can experience the game of basketball from a WHEELCHAIR! For the 4 th time, the United Spinal Metro DC Chapter, in partnership with MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, is hosting their blockbuster wheelchair basketball fundraiser and bringing this very unique experience back! This event is a 3v3 wheelchair basketball tournament that will be taking place at Trinity Washington University's Center for Women and Girls in Sports (aka Trinity Center) on Sunday, April 27th. This will be a 20 team maximum tournament with an entry fee of $175 per team OR register as an individual for $45 and we will place you on a team! Each team will consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5. Before the start of the tournament there will be an hour when the players will be taught the fundamentals and rules of wheelchair basketball from MedStar's Wheelchair Basketball Team - The NRH Punishers!
