The hotel is showing its age and badly in need of a refit. The hotel room was as clean as it could be considering the age of the fittings and furniture but the floor boards were loose and a sloping floor meant sleeping with my legs higher than my head. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was well cooked but the helpings were very small. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smaller sausage! All in all expensive considering what’s on offer.

A family of three, asked if they would like an extra bed when they arrive at the hotel? We didn't add it, so we gave us the largest double bed room. The room was not as soundproof as the comment said. Very quiet, right next to the suspension bridge. This is also the hotel we were most satisfied with for a month in Bristol!

Located right on Cabot Circus, it's quite convenient geographically. Our room was on the first floor, and the window faced the exhaust of the restaurant downstairs, which caused a constant odor and noise. The hotel's floorboards were also very thin, and we could feel the floor vibrate whenever someone walked around or sat on the bed. The dishwasher was old, and the wheels on the basket kept falling off, and it didn't wash clean. Everything else was fine. Also, the shops at Cabot Circus closed at 6 p.m., leaving only the homeless to wander around. I recommend booking a room at City Center or Clifton.

The hotel is very conveniently located in central Bristol, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room itself was quite spacious, featuring a comfortable bed and a good shower. However, one issue I encountered was the heating— it wasn’t working during my stay, and each room had been provided with a small electric heater instead. This wasn’t mentioned at any point prior to booking or even at check-in, which was disappointing. The heater provided was quite small for the size of the room, and if the weather had been any colder, it likely wouldn’t have been sufficient to keep the room warm. Service at the front desk was also a bit slow. I tried calling reception multiple times using the in-room phone over the course of a few hours, but no one ever answered. The hotel does offer amenity kits, which is a nice touch—especially as many hotels seem to have done away with them. However, the breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered, which may not be the best value for money. Overall, the location and room size were great, but the heating issue, slow service, and expensive breakfast could use improvement.

Starting with the check in process, everything was very smooth and hassle free. We were given a room on the higher floor as requested. The view from the room was decent I would say. You could see a part of the city and the faraway hills. We managed to catch glimpse of wonderful sunrise so that's a plus. We did not try the food there so can not comment. However, when I asked the reception for recommendations, they were unable to guide me around the city. Yha as always the best..we booked a 3 person room. The location is besides the harbour just in centre of all the hustle bustle as well as quietness! Only one downside the room that is separate than other dorm rooms is located on the top level. The heater or some pipe kept on making noise when ever the winds were strong or any flight went from above (I guess) Positive side: the room comes with skylight..you are able to see stars and moon on a clear night..thus you can sleep glazing at the stars :)
