This hotel looks beautiful from outside with a lovely ground and impressive entrance, but however, I found the room & common area not so impressive  they need to give it a face lift to deserve the room rate. Especially with a high bathtub it’s quite dangerous as it’s slippery when you step into it to have a shower, even with the rubber mat on it , luckily I brought along my rubber slipper, which I can use to have a shower to prevent from slipping . Our room included breakfast, buffet table selection of food were poor, and the quality of food was not great even with basic smoke salmon it looks stale & the cooked breakfast was ok not impressive. The front desk reception staff were not helpful with problem . But the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we checked out , after hearing our comments about the problem he took note said he’ll look into the problem & told us to contact him when decide to stay with them next time. I do appreciate his helpfulness & trying to make the best of the situation, Cliveden Hotel should treasure him as the hotel manager.

Stayed here as part of a wedding being held at the venue - which during the week is a business venue. Room was clean. Matress was very worn and sloping down on one side. Also very hot in the rooms with no air conditioning. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Bacon, eggs, sausage but served in very small dishes so two people would take most and others would need to wait for the food to be replenished. For the full english, some hash browns would have been good. Friend had to wait 15 minutes, after plating up, for vegetarian sausages. Would have been nice for some of those to have been put out too.

A well-regulated hotel, the service is good, first gave the room with a sharp corner on the second floor, not very friendly to the big head, and later the front desk helped to change the room on the first floor to solve the problem of meeting, the service is still more intimate. The Cottage is a safe space open to everyone.Self check-in, private garden area with outdoor furniture (& table-tennis). River/pubs within 1 mile walk. Galleried bedroom, Superking bed, laptop friendly desk/dressing table (room for travel cot). Ground floor large sofabed. Wifi & SmartTV. Kitchen area with oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer. Dining table for 4. Free parking on large forecourt shared with main house. Quiet location, trees and birdsong. Animal friendly.The spaceThe Cottage is modern, light and spacious. The bedroom has a huge, comfortable bed with luxurious 600 thread sateen cotton bed linen. There is room for a travel cot or toddler blow-up bed. The extendable antique wooden table makes a perfect study area, or dressing table area, next to a full length mirror (and hairdryer). There is plenty of drawer and hanging space, plus a full-length closet downstairs, with iron and ironing board. The kitchen area is fully equipped to cater from breakfast and snacks to home-cooked meals. To the side of The Cottage is a sunny garden area with BBQ and outside table and chairs and reclining chairs for your exclusive use, and to the rear is a small copse then fields. Our 3 friendly dogs (2 labradors and a shihtzu) play in the grounds and will give you a warm welcome!Guest accessThe whole cottage is yours. There is shared parking to the front. Very good hotel, the environment is very good, the staff service is warm and friendly. There is a small hot spring (which is actually a small swimming pool) and comes with free fruit tea and fruit. There are many places to play around, suitable for self-driving or cycling The only thing I felt a little downside was the bed was a bit small, the two of us slept a bit crowded, the introduction was a twin room but the bed was actually small Breakfast was great! highly recommended! Perfect English breakfast
