Very clean & tidy. Basically serviced accommodation. Decent size room with standard double bed and modern bathroom. Shower cubicle was a bit on the small size but quite adequate and shower had decent power. Kitchen useful. Easy self access with plenty of parking. Recommended for one or two nights stay over. We will use again.

Very clean and comfortable with all new furnishings and new 55 inch tv Unfortunately, I was only booked in for the one night; arrived late and left early. Overall a short but pleasant stay. A lovely place. We we're a bit iffy on sraying due to the rating of the hotel but after reading the reviews most were about the rooms being dated. Since we were only planning to be there for a night, who cares? There was an issue with the booking from Trip.com's side which the duty manager Declan was able to resolve in a timely mannor while also making the wait very pleasant with some nice chat. The staff were lovely, including the two young ladys on the bar/food service as well as Declan. Unfortunately didnt get the girls names. The building is stunning and surrounded by lovely woods, perfect for a walk. Rooms are a bit dated, sure, but why are you looking to spend all your time in your room? More than enough to have a comfy sleep in. Also as a side note on that, id imagine It's a listed building and so hard an expensive to update. Overall a lovely night and a pleasant morning having breakfast then a walk. Absolutely would recommend.

I’d looked at previous reviews and wasn’t sure what to expect, however we were really pleased with our stay. Location excellent, staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms, although bathroom a little tired, everything was clean. Bed was very comfortable and bedding nice quality. Nice touches included toiletries (espa) , kettle and coffee maker. We opted for the breakfast deal. Quality and selection of food both excellent. Would definitely book again.

Clean room with perfect location, right in the centre of town. We got a room just by the fire exit, which spoiled the window view. The room had an air conditioner but you couldn’t open any window to get some fresh air, which was the most significant downside of the room. My stay was for work and it was lovely. I slept really well in such a comfy bed. I was disappointed by the spa area, the pool water was cold and the jacuzzi water was also cold and not even the slightest bit warm. The breakfast was lovely with such a range to enjoy from. The food in the restaurant just seemed like it’s trying to be too fancy. For the price,there really wasn’t much on the plate and it could have been seasoned more. The bar menu gave more promise than the restaurant so was a shame to have a nice setting but the food just didn’t live up to it. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would return to this hotel. The service was great and the staff were excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The reception staff were very polite, a gentleman who works at night was extremely friendly giving me snacks in the early hours because I was hungry and the kitchen was closed. Only the cleaning staff made a lot of noise at 7:30am, a very early time to start, which could disturb guests who are still resting.
