The hotel service was excellent. Special thanks to Ms. Jossce from the Guest Relations Department for arranging a room upgrade, reserving a parking space for me in advance, and even allowing a late check-out. The service was extremely attentive and warm. The room had high ceilings, a great view, and an open vista—highly recommended!

Decent Stay with Some Inconveniences – Great Service but Location Challenges The hotel itself met our basic expectations in terms of comfort and functionality. However, its location was less convenient than anticipated—it’s quite far from Futian Port (the crossing point to Hong Kong), making accessibility an issue. Guests with luggage should consider booking a ride (e.g., Didi) for easier transit. Unless there’s a specific reason to stay here, travellers may prefer a more central location. Given that the hotel has been operating for over 20 years, the facilities are reasonably well-maintained and functional—nothing outstanding, but acceptable for a short stay. The buffet breakfast offered a limited variety, which could be improved for better guest satisfaction. Moving between Tower West and other sections required switching lifts, which was somewhat inconvenient. On a positive note, the service was truly commendable, from the smooth check-in process to the helpful bellboy and efficient luggage storage assistance. The staff’s attentiveness and professionalism stood out as the highlight of our stay. While the hotel has its drawbacks (mainly location and minor facility quirks), the excellent service helps balance the experience.

Excellent service from every single staff interaction we had, especially at horizon club - exactly what you'd expect from a Shangri-la property. Room was clean and comfy with their generous pillow selection. Lobby is currently decked out in festive cheer and looks fantastic. My slight disappointment was with the food - Horizon club food felt a bit lacking in selection and quality (sandwiches and pastries tasted a bit stale), especially compared to the Hong Kong Shangs. Breakfast quality and spread was definitely a bit lacklustre.

The hotel is located at walking distance from Dongmen Pedestrian Street with lots of restaurants nearby. The room is clean and large. The front desk staff are very friendly, especially Mr. Fan who has been most helpful in attending to all my enquiries. One of the main attractions is to be able to go directly to the hotel room floor from Shaibu metro station near Exit D2. Instead of going up the right-hand side staircase at Exit D2 proceed straight towards the restaurants. There is a lift at the end on your right that will take you up to the hotel lobby and other floors.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott Hotel in Shenzhen, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of relaxation wash over me. The ambiance of the hotel is both luxurious and inviting, making it the perfect getaway. The staff truly elevated our stay to another level. Each interaction I had with the team was met with warmth and professionalism. A special shoutout to Betty, Peter, and Cecilia, who went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. They were always available to assist with any request, making me feel right at home. Their genuine care and attention to detail made my stay even more enjoyable. It was also my husband’s birthday and they made it very special by sending cake to our room. The services provided at the JW Marriott are top-notch. The rooms are beautifully appointed, providing a serene environment to unwind after a day of exploring the city. This was my first time staying at the JW Marriott, but it certainly won’t be my last. I am already looking forward to my next visit! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay. I would rate it a solid 1M/10! Thank you, JW Marriott Shenzhen, for an unforgettable experience!

Up to expectations as usual but I could not understand the new policy of limiting only 2 free bottles of water per room per day in view of the hot weather. For the amount charged per night, the least would be a couple of bottles more not that it would make such a big dent in the costing.

They offer a free shuttle service to the beach. Breakfast was fantastic with a very wide range of selection from the East to the western food. The Langham Shenzhen boasts a prime location in the heart of the city, offering convenient access to nearby attractions. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. Language wasn't an issue as almost everyone spoke English. However, one downside was the presence of mosquitoes in the room, which affected the overall comfort. Despite this, the hotel’s elegant ambiance and excellent service make it a worthy choice. Here's to hoping that they will add halal food options in the breakfast buffet.

We booked a 2-night stay over the Easter holiday. The location is excellent, situated next to a mall and just a few metro stops away from the Futian High-Speed Rail train station. Our overall experience was positive. However, upon entering our initial room, we discovered a used sock and a pack of cigarettes on the floor. The staff promptly relocated us to another room and even provided an upgrade. While the new room was more spacious than the one we had originally booked, such oversights from a renowned brand were unacceptable. Another notable point was the absence of automated delivery robots for takeaway service at the hotel. Instead of enjoying the convenience of food delivered directly to our room, we had to take the lift to the lobby on the 95th floor and then back down to the 1st floor to collect our food, which was stored in a wooden drawer without any insulating features. This was different to the typical hotel experience, where staff or robots will help to deliver the food to rooms and was a slight inconvenience. Despite these issues, we were satisfied with our stay on the whole.

Booked a 3h stay as my flight was late in the night and I did not wish to carry my luggage around. For the price, the place is fantastic. Service is great too. Staff would even escort you to your room as though you are a VIP staff. Location is near food options and a small mall which is about a 5 - 10min walk away. The mall even has outlet shops for certain sports brands. Also a rather short jourmey away from Shekou Port if you are intending to take the ferry. The room is nice and cozy for a short stay. My family, two adults plus two kids (3 and 5 years old), had a really nice one night stay at this hotel. Yuki and Sirius from check-in greeted us warmly. I had a few questions and they addressed all my concerns professionally. I also requested for bed guards and housekeeping sent them over with the friendliest smile. We stayed at a kids friendly room with two beds. The room is spacious enough for the kids to roam around while I unpacked our belongings. There’s a huge tub that fits all of us, a balcony with a lounge chair for us to chill in the breeze while munching on snacks / viewing the hotel’s outdoor playground and merry-go-round. The hotel’s well maintained and I’d say it’s kids friendly. The design of the outdoor and indoor play area have plenty of open-ended play facilities which I appreciate. They also have a “beach” with sand connecting to the outdoor pool, which btw is smooth and clean, so I felt safe to let my kids play there. There are also plenty of fish in the garden which the hotel allows us to feed and this made it extra fun! The water park wasn’t open during our stay and we missed the train ride (apparently I read the schedule wrong) so hopefully the next time we revisit this hotel we could give these a try!

It’s next to high end mall with plenty of restaurants and cafes options. We loved the 2 huge parks by walking distances. You can't beat the location--it's right off the metro and next to Coastal City. I had no problem communicating in English. The rooms were large and had wonderful views. I actually had a real desk and a proper office chair to work in, which I really needed. The breakfast buffet had a nice blend of East meets West cuisine. Overall, it was a good stay. But I do have 2 comments for improvement--no one says ”good morning' or greets you in any way. For example, even when I greeted the waitress in Mandarin, no eye contact or a smile. Even the front desk doesn't feel that approachable. It feels very cold, which felt strange given the hotel brand. So I couldn't give a high rating on the service because of it. And the second point is that the pillows were so wilted--even with three of them, they just sank down like I was lying flat on the bed. I attempted to call to see if I could get them exchanged but no one answered my calls.
