I booked this hotel to celebrate my husband’s birthday, hotel made some birthday arrangement for us and it was amazing. The staff at the crowns plaza were very helpful and accommodating. Especially May, Peter & Lilith at the front desk. They offered help a lot and made our stay felt special. Breakfast was good and they had quite a good range of selections, however, it was too crowded and we were sat at the member area(the cafe next to the lobby). The gym and swimming pool were good. Even though pool and gym are located within the same building as the hotel but they are not part of the hotel, they partner up with PANATTA fitness. Therefore, their gym members get access too. Besides, if you want to use the pool, please prepare the swimming hat as we had to buy online as the swimming hats were hired out when we wanted to use it.
The receptionists at PANATTA gym on the 4/F were not that friendly as the rest of the hotel staff. Didn’t smile and didn’t make us feel welcomed. Since it’s still part of the hotel and the hotel guests will be using the gym and the pool, they could have been more friendly, smiley and helpful.
Overall, we will still come back to this hotel for sure despite the lack of hospitality at the gym reception. This was a good stay and the overall experience made us feel special. Thanks!From£78

Up to this year the kingkey hotel guests have been able to use the intercontinental hotel outside facilities without a problem but this year that charged and the kingkey hotel guests are no longer able to use the outside facilities. The intercontinental hotel staff was also very rude about it (they were also rude to their own guests as we observed). We saw many kingkey hotel guests arguing with the intercontinental staff. I do think it’s necessary to book the room with the club service since the general service is not so good and you do need that extra help.
