I am very happy with the cleanliness and the service of the hotel. Started with the promptness of Peggy, she helped prepared the room. Though there was no baby bathtub, they provided bathtub cover for extra cleanliness. We used that and bathed baby in the basin. All good. Suggested by Peggy. It was nerve racking to have children rides, claw machines and a play room when you are dealing with three older kids, but Tom was very helpful. The hotel shared some coins with the kids and Tom even helped catch the soft toys at the claw machines. Finally Joy was very helpful in the checked in and checked out process. She and her team helped us with our delivery as we needed a China number. We enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Not deserving of a star drop, but we didn’t realised our eldest was so tall, she needed to get a full adult breakfast ticket. We can only get discounted breakfast tickets the day before. So ended paying more for our eldest breakfast. A little inflexible, but I didn’t let that affect the trip. Thank you Crowne Plaza, overall we enjoyed the stay!

The surroundings are very lively. The hotel itself is very clean and well-maintained. When I first checked in, I found the lighting to be a bit dim, but the hotel immediately offered to switch my room. Later, I thought that warmer lighting is better for sleep, so I decided to stay. The hotel then sent over complimentary fruit and dessert as a gesture of apology. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Here again, staying one night before heading to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Facilities: The swimming pool and gym are still excellent, five-star standard. Cleanliness: Clean. Environment: Since I booked multiple rooms, I got an upgrade to a mountain view room, which was a bit small. Due to an issue with the room's facilities, they moved me to another room, which was larger. There's a picture of the mountain view room for reference. Service: As consistently good as ever. Thanks for the complimentary upgrade.

The Shangri-La brand is always trustworthy, and Shangri-La Shenzhen is conveniently located. It's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 10 of Futian High-Speed Railway Station. You can also walk to Link City, Ping An Finance Center, Huangting Plaza, and One Avenue in about 3-8 minutes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I always stay at this hotel whenever I'm on a business trip.

This trip's accommodation experience was absolutely perfect! I have to give this hotel a five-star rating~ I'm always so grateful for Jennifer's attentive care, she's truly thoughtful! The room provided an exceptionally peaceful sleep. The bathroom's wet and dry areas were completely separated, the smart toilet and rainforest shower were incredibly comfortable to use, the toiletries had a fresh scent, and even hidden corners were spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection was super rich, with Chinese congee and pastries, and Western bread and coffee – everything you could want. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The daily room cleaning was also very meticulous, with warmth evident in every detail. Whether it's for a family vacation or a couple's trip, this hotel offers incredible value for money. I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely stay here again next time!

Due to work, I extended my stay for another night. It was super convenient that Stella at the front desk helped update my room card, and I also saw my old friend, Supervisor Mamara, who is always so kind. My original room was particularly smooth, and room service was prompt, tidying up the room without disturbing my work or rest! I was out entertaining a lot this time, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy a drink at the hotel, but I still think their wine selection is excellent. They even had a Cote du Rhône, a wine I used to really like when I lived in Switzerland – highly recommend it! They were also very accommodating with a late checkout until 2 PM. And since I used a card sleeve, I didn't even need to return the room card when checking out, which was even more convenient! Looking forward to coming back next time!

I came from Guangzhou and arrived at Shenzhen North Station. The hotel is directly accessible by subway from North Station. The room was much bigger than I expected, and it was clean. The front desk service was also good. There are lots of dining options nearby in the evening, including many food stalls and hot pot places. The room even has a living room. I think it offers really great value for money, and the price is fair. I'll definitely book here again next time I visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would most certainly book a room there on my next visit to Shenzhen. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Passing through Shenzhen this time, I blindly picked this hotel on Ctrip and it turned out to be really great! First off, the location is a huge plus! It's right next to the subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, which is super convenient whether you're catching an early flight or heading out to meet clients. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so you don't have to go far if you want a late-night snack or need to buy essentials. The room was more spacious and tidier than I expected, with a simple yet elegant decor and all the amenities you could need. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the mattress had just the right amount of firmness. After a long day of business travel, lying down instantly made me relax, and my sleep quality was excellent. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, the hot water supply was prompt and the temperature was stable, and the toiletries were of good quality without any harsh scents. The guest services team also deserves a big shout-out – their service was excellent! I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!

The environment here is a reflection of how subpar Shenzhen's city planning is! There's construction happening all around. I asked the front desk for a quiet room, and they assured me it wouldn't be noisy. To my surprise, it truly was quiet – a miracle! The room came with a charging cable, a UK-style power outlet, a fridge, and the TV was clear and easy on the eyes, with a working remote. Even though the window was sealed, there were no strange odors in the room or hallway, thanks to scheduled air purification. The lobby takes up almost an entire floor and has a grand, historic feel to it. The nearby convenience store was also well-stocked and useful. Overall, this place is at least a full step above the glorious hotel diagonally across the street. I still have to say, Shenzhen's city planning is truly awful 👎

The environment was great. The room was spacious, and the twin room suited our family of three perfectly. They even offered complimentary mooncakes, which was a lovely touch. The private beach also had a dedicated shuttle service. Both the buffet dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh food; we were pleasantly surprised to find oysters and grilled skewers at dinner. But what truly impressed me the most was the indoor swimming pool. The water was crystal clear, and the lifeguard was very attentive. I had forgotten my swimming cap, and the lifeguard kindly lent me one. My whole family had a fantastic time swimming there. We will definitely come back if we get the chance!

Huge thanks to the VIP service department for their excellent care! They specifically arranged for our two rooms to be close together, which we really appreciated. Special shout-out to Gary! Aside from the hotel being a bit older, everything else was great. The location is super convenient, very close to the border crossing, shopping malls, and the train station. The hotel's restaurants are a big highlight, especially the buffet, with 8 different dining options. The facilities are well-maintained and don't show their 16 years of age. Today, the hotel just put up its Christmas floral decorations, which really added to the festive atmosphere. The surrounding scenery is also lovely; we enjoyed the Hong Kong mountain views during the day and the city skyline at night. Stayed for two nights, here's my review! First, the pros: 1. The location is absolutely unbeatable! The hotel has direct access to Yitian Holiday Plaza, and you're right at the mall and subway downstairs. It's a 5-minute walk to Window of the World/Happy Valley, which saves so much energy when you're taking kids on rides. Plus, you can watch the fireworks display from your room's balcony at night – my kids were screaming with excitement! 2. The service deserves a big thumbs-up! 3. Little perks: They restock 6 glass bottles of mineral water in the room daily. The turndown service leaves little bear cookies that are quite tasty, and breakfast goes until 11 AM, which is great for late sleepers! Now for a couple of complaints: 1. The facilities are definitely showing their age… The carpet edges are a bit frayed, and the bathtub drains a bit slowly, but the bedding is truly comfortable! Westin’s signature 'Heavenly Bed' lives up to its name – I was asleep in seconds. 2. Soundproofing is so-so. We stayed on the Window of the World side, and the park announcements during the day plus traffic noise at night were a bit loud. Light sleepers should request a room in the annex facing the mall. 3. Breakfast during peak hours means a scramble for seats! It gets super crowded after 9 AM, and the sausages were still half-frozen… I recommend going before 8:30 AM or just heading downstairs to the mall for dim sum – more options and cheaper too! Summary: It might be old, but the location and service are fantastic! Especially for families with kids visiting the amusement parks, for just over 1000 yuan, being able to go back to the hotel and relax whenever you want – what more could you ask for? I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

100 points for being pet-friendly! I stayed in a suite alone with my mischievous dog, carrying a bunch of luggage and keeping my dog on a leash. I even brought a crate to avoid causing any cleaning difficulties for the hotel. Throughout my stay, the concierge and housekeeping staff were incredibly enthusiastic and offered tremendous help. Both the housekeeping and luggage-handling concierge staff were very friendly towards my dog. The hotel environment is excellent, with a large lawn in the South Wing and plenty of trash cans along the way, making it easy to dispose of pet waste immediately. This truly is Shenzhen's number one pet-friendly hotel. However, it's a shame the front desk service needs improvement. I was waiting to check out with my dog. One front desk agent was assisting a guest, while another was on the phone complaining to someone about how busy they were and needing to quickly resolve some technical issue. I waited patiently in front of the velvet rope, expecting the agent to finish her call. Soon after, a third front desk agent, dressed in a uniform that suggested she might be a supervisor, appeared. None of the three agents even glanced in my direction. Suddenly, a woman cut in front of me to approach the third agent, and she was immediately assisted! Not one of the three agents bothered to look up at me. For a five-star hotel, shouldn't the front desk staff pay attention to the queue? I had to loudly point out that I was here first, and to my disbelief, they still served the line-cutter before attending to me. The concierge and housekeeping had provided such a satisfying experience, only for it to be ruined by the cold reception at check-out. This hotel's front desk clearly hasn't received the training expected of a five-star establishment. My friend even joked that my dog was too quiet, and maybe next time, if she barked wildly at the front desk, someone would finally pay attention to us.

Negative Feedback: 1. The room had a strong musty smell. They brought an air purifier and sprayed air freshener throughout the room, but it barely made a difference. I initially thought it was because the AC wasn't on, but turning it on didn't help. I informed the front desk at 9:30 PM on the night of check-in, and they came up to try and resolve it. I also mentioned it again at check-out. 2. The bathtub in the room was dirty, so I didn't dare use it for a bath. I informed the front desk and showed them pictures at check-out. (See image 1). 3. There was an issue with the carpet in the room; parts of it were sunken. I noticed it just before check-out, with a circular indentation near the chair leg. I forgot to mention it to the front desk when checking out. (See image 2). Positive Feedback: The breakfast was varied, the view was excellent, the service was warm and attentive, and the details were decent. (See images 3-4).

Overall, it is a nice hotel. It is good they provide flip flops for the pool. However, we took them off before going into the pool. Around noon, the lifeguard asked everyone to get out of the water (I guess it was their lunchtime?). The lifeguard was near the edge waiting for us and clearly saw that my flip flops were missing and it was likely that other guest took mine. The floor tiles were dangerous hot from the sun and he clearly heard me in distress. Yet, he did nothing to help! I guess his lunch time is more important than the guests' well-being! The bathroom mirror is gorgeous, haha, perfect for taking photos! **Ambiance:** Very strong Christmas vibe, beautifully decorated. The ground floor also has Christmas decorations. **Service:** Both the aunties and the front desk staff were very polite. **Cleanliness:** Clean and tidy, pretty good.

Before I even arrived, a hotel staff member reached out to me! The room was okay, but the facilities felt quite dated. Perhaps due to the weather, the room was very dim. I had originally planned to catch the sunset, but unfortunately, a cold front hit right when I had already booked, so I had no choice but to go. It's about a 50+ km drive from the city, which is quite remote. Plus, being off-season, there was nobody around, making it feel incredibly desolate, so the overall experience was pretty mediocre. The breakfast was decent; the variety met expectations, but the quality of the food was just average. It was quite a departure from the Marriott hotels I've stayed at in the city, or other resort Marriotts in different cities. And there was no boxed yogurt! Another thing: the bed and pillows weren't particularly comfortable. This was unlike any Marriott I've ever stayed in. Marriott brands are known for their comfortable bedding, but here, I woke up with back pain, and the pillows were hard! It might genuinely be due to how dated everything is. However, I do want to give a special shout-out to the concierge team member who gifted us a brand-new set of sand toys – that was a delightful surprise! And thanks to the all-day dining restaurant for giving us two extra egg tarts when we ordered two. Despite all that, the hotel's garden facilities are quite good, and there are multiple swimming pools! The hot pot set included in our stay package was actually pretty good. The ingredients were fresh, and the portions were generous! Since the food was satisfying, it made up for the less-than-ideal room and the rather unremarkable recreational experience.

This InterContinental resort hotel was great, living up to the brand's usual standards. The room facilities and cleanliness were all up to par. I stayed for three nights and was very comfortable, with no inconveniences. Most rooms offer a sea view, though not all face directly out; some might be slightly angled due to the hotel's curved building design. During check-in, we were recommended Room 23, which offered a perfect direct sea view. It was excellent! So, for future guests, I recommend rooms in the 20s to mid-20s (you can check the room layout in the photo). The hotel's other facilities are also good. There are three outdoor pools and one indoor pool, all equipped with lounge chairs. The indoor pool even has inflatable toys for guests to play with. The gym and water sports equipment rental facilities were all well-equipped. The gym even had a stair climber, which I appreciated, haha. Breakfast was delicious and generally very good. Every day, I enjoyed a tiny, hard whole-wheat bread that was incredibly fragrant with a strong wheat flavor. Paired with a little light cream, it was super aromatic. The noodle bar also offered three kinds of greens and mushrooms daily. The soup itself was a bit salty, making a bowl of veggies in the morning very satisfying. On my last day, I had oil-splashed noodles (youpo mian) that were freshly shaved, very springy, and delicious. If you don't have a big appetite, remember to ask for fewer noodles. The breakfast restaurant's order and cleanliness were also good, making for a comfortable meal. The hotel's lobby bar also offered decent food. I had two cakes: the pistachio chocolate was better than the Opera cake. I also tried a refreshing chilled dessert (qingliangbu), which was quite tasty. The coffee was just average. I didn't try the hotel's buffet. I had a Tom Yum soup and a seafood salad at the Southeast Asian restaurant upstairs. The taste was good, but it wasn't great value for money. I went to the hotel's Cantonese restaurant, Yuècài Wángfǔ, two days in a row and absolutely loved it (you can see my separate review for Yuècài Wángfǔ). So, dining is definitely not an issue here. The front desk service was superb. The same kind and friendly gentleman, who was a bit chubby, checked us in and out. He was very warm and attentive, leaving me with an excellent first impression as soon as I arrived. All in all, Dameisha in the off-season is well worth it. Falling asleep to the sound of waves every night and waking up to the morning sun. After breakfast, I'd take a walk on the beach or just lie on a lounge chair by the beach or pool, lost in thought until the afternoon. It was truly delightful.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at Kempinski Shenzhen. The entire experience was flawless, from the luxurious room quality and convenient location to the stunning panoramic views from my upgraded 21st-floor room. The service, in particular, was exceptional across the board. A massive thank you to the wonderful young lady at the front desk and her manager for securing my amazing upgrade. I also must commend the housekeeping staff, who were so warm and lovely throughout my stay. Highly recommend this hotel for both its quality and its outstanding team!

We really liked the hotel. Stayed two nights with my brother we were visiting Shenzhen and honestly after staying in many hotels in China where you see the very edited pictures this one was a nice surprise. Very clean and new. Would definitely stay here again. When checking in they were so kind and gave us an upgrade. Do stay :)

The location was perfect — very close to Sea World! The room was in excellent condition, with clean and cozy bedding, and the kitchenware was well-prepared with a great variety of utensils, making it perfect for families. We used the swimming pool every day — it was long, clean, and well-maintained, good enough for professional swimmers to practice! Our kids absolutely loved it. Above all, Arina and Ula were exceptionally kind to our children and took care of them with great attention and warmth. Their kindness truly touched our hearts and made our stay even more memorable. We’d definitely love to come back!
