Convenient location for this couple who are exploring Scotland via Rail. Nice big and comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast for £9! Can’t do much better than that! The old building has been beautiful preserved, yet enhanced, which was part of the appeal for us.

The main reason is that the sound insulation effect of the room is average, and the people next door can feel clearly when opening and closing the door and walking in the corridor. It happened that we needed to go to bed early on Friday night because we had to catch an early Saturday morning flight, and Aberdeen people like to go to bars late on that Friday night. I was disturbed by the people next door coming and going, so I didn’t sleep good. Everything else is perfect, and the hotel service staff is also very enthusiastic, answering every question. The hotel is located in the city center, 3 minutes walk from the train station, and there are many convenience stores around.

We recently went on a family trip and stayed for two nights, making two separate bookings. On the last night, the receptionist informed us that our room was not included for children. However, the website clearly stated that children under 12 stay for free. I didn't want to argue in front of the kids, but despite the receptionist's smile, we didn’t feel welcomed at all. A 10-minute walk from the hotel to the airport is very convenient, and you can get up late in the morning. [Location] The hotel is next to Aberdeen Airport, 10 minutes away. If you enter the city, take a taxi: 01224 494949, which is about 15-20 pounds. The bus is also very convenient. It takes 727 to walk for 3 minutes, and the one-way fare is 3.5 pounds. [Health] Very clean hotel [Value for money] High value for money, newer equipment, the cheapest Courtyard hotel in the UK is 600 yuan a night (may be slightly more expensive in November, winter and summer) [wifi] Wi-Fi is free [Room size] The room size is normal, not big, but not small. Two people will not feel crowded when staying. Better than too many European Hiltons. [Parking] You can park downstairs [Service] The ladies at the front desk are so warm and tender that they can melt into their sweet smiles. When you stay in Scotland for a long time, you will have a glass heart. Really nice Chinese couple running this place. The breakfast was good enough and the room was well thought through - with a load of coathangers and a multipoint extension lead just next to the bed. It would be a good idea to take your own shampoo/shower gel though. Quiet place. I went over a weekend, so was able to park outside on the road: the facilities appeared to include free parking when I booked, but I didn't see a car park. I would stay there again.

Although the room was a little dated, all the amenities were good. The shower could do with being updated as was quite old with little water pressure. Went to the bar and they had a good selection of drinks and food. Breakfast in the morning was also enjoyable. Staff were happy to help and kindly ordered us a taxi for the evening. Only gripe would be the parking situation, which frankly was disappointing. Many guests like myself arrived mid afternoon to a full car park with no spaces. Turned out this was because the hotel rents out spaces to offshore workers/holidaymakers. Fair enough as a side hustle, but at least keep a reasonable amount for your guests.

I’m a regular traveller and had started to stay at this hotel every month but I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Especially with the COVID pandemic going on. The carpet was full of crumbs, the large shower towel was stained, there were finger prints on door handles and toilet flush (showing it hadn’t been cleaned). I never complained and cleaned it all down myself as I was too tired and couldn’t be bothered to move rooms. But I have opted to stay at a different hotel for my next stay in a few weeks time.
