The staff was nice and I got a room upgrade. The view from the room was good, and the bathroom was big, so I was satisfied. Conveniently located to the Valley of the Temples.

Our stay in Hotel Della Valle Agrigento for 3 nights was a wise choice, especially for the location being so near to the Valley of the Temples, which ensures an early start can get you there before the crowds and believe me these temples are a once in a life wonder but you would find it very uncomfortable walking round in the hot sun. Thank you to Carlo our tour guide for sharing his knowledge and experience whilst showing us round the Valley of the Temples. I read all the reviews before I went to this hotel and feel the Hotel must have been totally refreshed over the Winter, because our room was small, but very clean with a good modern bathroom and shower/ hot water and although my little heart sank when I saw one of those hair dryers stuck to the wall it was surprisingly powerful and effective. Little fridge in the room too. The Gardens and Pool are beautiful as everyone reviewer has said and the Waiter in charge of the bar & pool was a delight, very helpful and attentive so big thank you to him. After dinner in the evening a guitarist played pleasant music and drinks were served round the pool with free snacks. In fact all the staff without exception were welcoming and polite. One night we dined al fresco and I have to say all their staff worked very, very hard to keep us all happy. Thank you. I am very fussy about food and can only say that all their breakfast and evening meals were excellent, a small choice suitable for everyones tastes. Hats off to their chef. Yes you always get a few wingers when you are part of a large group but the majority all agreed the standard was high and there were about 45 of us in our group. Hotel Della Valle's Sicilian House white wine (25 euros )was very good and much better than the red Sicilian wine which for my tastes was a little raw, but if you read the Sicilian guide books they state exactly the same. If you don't drink it all then they will happily save it for your next evening. Yes, the rooms are of standard size but very clean, good comfortable beds and more than enough room. The two lifts are a bit hit and miss because the hotel was fully booked when we were there. If you want more luxury then you can always book the Hotel in the grounds of the Valley of the temples but it will cost you £900 without Breakfast. Don't forget to take your own towel and swimming hat if you don't want to pay a few euro's to hire them, evidently swimming hats stop the beautiful swimming pool getting clogged, a small price to pay. We found our electric 2 pin adapters didn't fit any of the rooms in Sicily but the hotels are prepared for this and have plenty on hand to loan you. Recommended: Lunch at Agriturismo Borgo Antico, with home made produce and excellent red wine also produced on site ( the best I tasted in the whole of Sicily)

On our Cosmos tour of Sicily this was, by far, the nicest hotel we stayed in. There were lovely gardens and swimming pool area which we, unfortunately, didn't have time to enjoy. The room we had was very nice. There were fabulous views over the valley and everything was comfortable. I had a problem with the shower as it was over the bath without a curtain. The bar was lovely with good quality drinks and snacks. The dining area was big but it was nicely decorated and the food was alright. They were especially attentive to my gluten free needs.

An average hotel. We picked it because it was close to the sites and we were there for one night. This hotel has seen better days. It looked very sad and worn out. It needs a makeover. The bed was hard but big. Big is a plus. The view was good. Location perfect. The linens, bed comforter, towels were all old and worn. The hotel was empty of guests and we were upgraded to a larger room with balcony which was definitely a plus. It seemed the large breakfast buffet was put out for only us as we saw no one at breakfast and before we were barely done, it was all put away.

We were given a small, very poor room on the 4th floor. As the lift was so slow in arriving we usually walked up and down the stairs. The room looked as if it had last been decorated in the 1970s. It only had 4 coat hangers in the cupboard and there were no hooks anywhere. There was nowhere to dry our towels and perhaps for this reason they were replaced every day. The redeeming factor of this hotel was the good food. It also has beautful gardens, swimming pool and bar. About two minutes' walk away is a small supermarket which was useful for buying drinking water. There is another smaller supermarket on the way to the beach.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour group and it was perfectly satisfactory. Like some other hotels I've reviewed on our tour, this one was difficult to assess, but I've round up a 3.5 star rating to 4, rather than down to 3, again. Our room was comfortable and certainly large enough, with a king size bed and a single, as well as having a big balcony. The bathroom was fine, except there was an issue aiming the water flow from the shower head, with the glass screen proving too small - but the pressure was good. The hotel has a large garden area housing the pool, a bar and a kitchen/dining area that doubled as the breakfast room. We had an included dinner in the garden area next to the pool and on a warm night, it was a wonderful setting. Dinner was very good and the breakfast was quite satisfactory. The pool had restrictive opening hours which was disappointing. The hotel I think, is a little out of town, but it suited us.

This is not a 4 star hotel it is more like a 1 at best. The decor in desperate need of cleaning and updating. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk for 15 minutes. When we went to the pool there were no towels and when they arrived they asked for 4 euros for thin crappy ones. Never before have I been charged for towels, and besides that he argued with my wife. The front desk removed the charge after lengthy debate insisting the towel charge was standard practice (not anywhere else we’ve stayed in Sicily!) We asked for a king size bed we got two singles pushed together, and the bed was hard as a rock. The pool had green slime (pictures attached.)Vacuum just left out towels from others not picked up and broken chairs. Servers impossible to find and then rude once we ordered a salad that came drenched in awful dressing. I would never recommend this place to anyone! We did not come here for the hotel we can to see the ruins which were spectacular. But after a long day you want to come back to something nice 🤮.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of our Sicily Tour with Riviera Travel. The hotel is family-run, very friendly and well located to explore the local area - particularly The Valley of the Temples and Agrigento. It is on the outskirts of Agrigento (so not in the centre) which means it's slightly quieter and there is only a supermarket very nearby. However that was useful to us as we could get our wine and water from there! As other people have commented, the hotel could possibly do with some refurbishment but it was more than adequate for our needs as we were out most of the time on our tour. It is also part of its charm. Please note that, like most hotels in Italy, there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Our room (414) was spacious, clean, with a decent sized en-suite. The bed was very hard but we prefer that to "squishy". The shower was over the bath and we had no problem with hot water or water pressure. The only slight criticism was not enough drawers but we were only staying for 3 nights! As mentioned, we were on a group tour (50 in our party) on a half-board basis. Due to the numbers, we were asked to pre-order our dinner the night before, which obviously made sense for the kitchen staff. We were lucky to be able to eat our meals outside on the grass near the pool for the first couple of nights so that made it very enjoyable, although on our last night we had to eat in the main indoors restaurant. Still very pleasant. There was a good selection for breakfast, including fresh fruit. Dinner was also very enjoyable. Some of our group had special dietary requirements, including gluten free, and the hotel and its staff took great care to ensure that their needs were met. Our Tour Manager, Daniela, was also very attentive to this aspect and took fantastic care of us all during our 8-day tour. We had a problem with the shower head and notified Daniela about it the first morning. When we returned from our outing that day it had already been fixed. Full marks to Daniela and the hotel for dealing with it so quickly. The hotel pool, and sunbeds, are very nice to enjoy at the end of a trip and are kept neat, clean and tidy. There is a pool bar so you can enjoy some refreshments at the same time. There is a small charge to use the pool towels but we had taken our own. In addition, guests are asked to use shower caps when using the pool (possibly due to the filter system) but these are available to purchase at the pool bar. Please note that this hotel is a very popular base with tour groups, which means that it can be quite busy at meal times although the hotel does try to stagger the sittings for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the hotel and it was a lovely start to our tour.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Overall I was content with it and thought it good value for money. It is located mid way between Agrigento town and the Valley of the Temples. It is possible to walk to both, but only if you have good mobility. The grounds of the hotel are very nice and having access to a pool in August, in Agrigento, is the main reason I booked this hotel. My room was dated, the sheets and bathroom were clean but the rest of the room's cleanliness was questionable. I did not unpack my clothes for that reason. The restaurant on site is ok for lunch but go elsewhere for dinner; there are better and cheaper options within walking distance. Breakfast was also ok. The front desk staff here are excellent. Answered all questions and arranged for taxis to San Leone, I believe they have a shuttle service too, but I did not use that service. I had to get an early morning bus to Catania, the bus stop is only 1.5km away but not walkable with luggage, so they assisted me in booking a taxi for 6am. The taxi did not show, which was very stressful. The gentleman at the front desk saved the day and drove me himself. Thanks to him, I arrived to the bus stop just in time. I would recommend this hotel for it's mid way location between the town and the Valley, but only if you are able to walk 20-25 minutes uphill into the centre of Agrigento. The town itself is very pretty and should not be missed.
