"Absolutely loved my stay at Tivoli Algarve!! All inclusive hotel with lots of food, drinks and snack options. The amenities were perfect if you wanted to use the gym, spa or sauna. If you just wanted to relax by the pool, you could get a drink from the bar and lounge either at the adults only or general pool. They had outdoor sports options, basketball, paddle ball or mini golf with a bar/snack bar close by.The property was quite large but quite accessible. You really didn’t need to leave the property for anything, unless you wanted to go to the city center, which they had a free shuttle to. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Tivoli Algarve and would go back again!"

"The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the safe did not work which we reported. It would have been nice if tea, coffee was available in the room . Breakfast was very mediocre , Plates and cutlery had to be asked for, the warmers that should have kept food warm did not. The lid of one collapsed resulting in crockery being smashed on the floor-apparently for the 3rd time in several days. Not what  I would have expected of a 4 star hotel."

"This is our 3rd stay at this hotel in 12 months, we absolutely love it here, rooms spacious and well equipped, big balcony, all staff extremely friendly and happy. Since we have been here I haven’t seen one sun-bed reserved with a towel which is how it should be, long may it continue. It’s just a 15 minute walk into town and 30 min walk to the beach. We are already looking to book for next year."

"We loved this hotel, spotlessly clean. Beautiful gardens, very well maintained. Staff great, food good, always something to eat. Rooms comfortable and clean. Bar area comfortable with nice seating, the drinks quality was excellent and the red wine was the nicest I have ever had at an all inclusive hotel. Also served decent cocktails at both the pool bar and the hotel bar. We didn't use the pools but the outdoor pool area was tidy and pleasant with lots of sunbeds, the indoor pool looked great, although very hot and humid in there, but not a problem if you are in the pool cooling off. We also used the free shuttle bus into town, which also goes to the beach, great service. All in all we had a lovely break. Thanks to all the excellent staff and facilities."

"We stayed for three nights at this excellent suite hotel. Our spacious room was on the ground floor with views towards the ocean. Breakfast was an extensive self service buffet providing something for everyone. We enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the pool watching the beautiful birds overhead. Reception staff in the main were friendly and helpful. Although we were taken aback when we asked a junior member of the reception staff for directions to a well known beach front restaurant to be told, she didn’t live in Alvor, so could not help us. Would we stay at the Pestana South Beach again, yes."

"We stayed here during a 3 week trip to Spain and Portugal. After intense touring and sightseeing in Mardid, Barcelona and Granada, we were ready for a bit of relaxation and this hotel was the perfect place to just sit back and enjoy the view. We had a very nice room of which the best part was the balcony where we had breakfast every day. We were directly above the tennis court and had stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean to the south and to the west we could look across the water to see the town of Lagos Portugal. Just getting to the hotel was a study in ever more relaxing settings. Pulling off of the main road you encounter a small unpaved road, a short distance on the small road and you turn off onto and even smaller unpaved road which leads you to the hotel itself. In a sense, driving down these small roads is driving away from cares and worries into a secluded paradise. On a practical note, the hotel is on a point of land overlooking the ocean. It is filled with artwork, has a small pool, tennis court and access to one of the small secluded beaches that the Algarve is known for. It also affords access to trails along the bluffs witch wend their way through the amazing rock formations for which the Algarve is known."

"We stayed whilst attending a music festival and it was our first time at this hotel. On arrival the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The one bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. We ate at the restaurant several times which we found very reasonably priced for a hotel and the food was of a very good standard and very generous portions. The staff in the restaurant are really friendly and attentive. The coastline and beach are a short walk from the hotel and is literally stunning ( there are steep steps down to the beach as the hotel and grounds are built on a cliff) The only niggles were a badly placed tiny door stop in the bathroom which both myself and my husband stubbed our toes on. Ouch! and having to ask for an iron and ironing board. I think these things should be provided in each apartment. Other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will return in the future"

"Lovely stay in a beautiful resort. The Atlantic pool in particular was beautifully landscaped with stunning views over the cliffs and sea. Great selection of restaurants and bars on site and also along the boardwalk towards Alvor. The townhouse we stayed in was clean, apart from the inevitable ants, and had most things needed for a self catering holiday. The only things missing were a hairdryer and bottle opener so bring these with you. Also there is no luggage service offered so depending on where your accommodation is located on the resort be prepared to carry/drag your suitcases some distance."

The only issue was in relation to the accessibility of the villa. It would be great if the property had a few portable ramps for guests to use to be able to navigate the steps outside and inside the villas."

"This hotel is legendary and maintains all the prestige that has always made it famous. The lounges, corridors, pool, architecture, etc., are excellent. The breakfast remains very good. However, the golf course and surrounding fields were still recovering from all the storms that have passed through the Algarve. The hotel walls need painting, and the room cleaning seemed quite superficial. All the staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Next time we hope to stay more than one night to be able to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer."

"Hotel was in the perfect spot for us, in perfect walking distance to restaurants and bars. Hotel staff very friendly, the room was perfect for our one night stay, very clean and well presented, the bed was very comfortable. The only downside was the breakfast, not much to choose from as nothing seemed to be replaced when it had been emptied, initially there were no plates available to put food on either. All in all we had a nice stay, just breakfast needs a little better organisation."

"We came here for the first time and couldn’t get over how peaceful this place is we’re so used to busy resorts that we didn’t think this sort of place existed it took a couple of days to get used to but it was perfect! We arrived just after midday and knew we wouldn’t be able to check in til 4pm like most places but I went to to the desk at 1:30pm and was told our room was ready which was amazing as we were tired and wanted to get changed and relax. The rooms are massive with a fully functioning kitchen and even a dishwasher and espresso machine and a bottle of water in the room, the beds were huge and quite comfy with the added luxury of a quilt rather than just sheets which was a really nice touch especially when you fall asleep with the aircon blasting 🫣 the balcony was also really big with sliding doors going full length of the room the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was nice although a bit noisy I only used it once for this reason but again another nice touch, the staff are all really lovely and take time to chat to you when bringing food and drink, breakfast was a choice of hot breakfast or continental with a good choice of cereals, breads, meat, cheese, fruit, pastries etc the fresh orange was lovely not watery juice like a lot of places we’ve been to, the bar snack menu has a good variety and everything is served like your eating at a fine restaurant the club sandwich is amazing the grounds are beautifully kept and very pleasing on the eye. There was never an issue with sun beds in fact a couple of times we were the only ones around the pool in a morning if you want a relaxing peaceful break away from it all then this is the place the only down side is the bar shuts really early so if you enjoy a night cap you won’t be having it at the hotel but it wouldn’t put me off staying again it’s in a great location about a 15 min walk from the shops and restaurants and a little supermarket 5 minutes down the road. just the quiet is sheer heaven I don’t think I’ll ever get over that 😂 thank you pelican Alvor for a great stay."

"Fantastic hotel, please don’t read the bad reviews. We are still here at the hotel and everything is perfect for us. We arrived really late and was slightly apprehensive as we were dropped off and had to guide ourselves to the reception. The staff here are all extremely helpful and nothing is too much bother for them. The food well where do I start if you’re looking for uk food yes there is plenty to choose from. Please bear in mind the hotel caters for everyone and there’s plenty to choose from. The pool and garden area is nicely kept and friendly atmosphere there. There’s a free shuttle bus that takes you back and forth to the town of Alvor although a taxi will cost you around 5 euros. The rooms are cleaned daily fresh towels daily and sheets daily We are on day 4 here and we plan to return next year. Don’t be put off with bad reviews of this hotel I’m glad we didn’t. Portugal is a beautiful country and the staff here make the hotel perfect"

"Excellent hotel. Friendly staff both in the hotel and in the Seadock restaurant, particularly Francisco, Jaoa and Mamam. Pedro was also very helpful at the main breakfast and bar area. Breakfast was a great buffet with everything you could wish for. The rooms were very clean although storage was limited. The room we stayed in was exceptionally quiet and the air con was powerful and quiet. Hotel is kept spotlessly clean by the cleaning staff, an army of unsung heros. We would definitely stay here again."
