Hotel location is very good. Near many landmarks. Room size is OK. Breakfast is satisfactory. The downside is - the building is old, stairs are narrow and there is no elevator. Obviously if you are with children or with a large suitcase, or if you have difficulty climbing stairs, this hotel is not for you.

Comfortable hotel with standard service, no special interest on the part of the staff in pleasing the passenger. Comfortable and quiet accommodations. Acceptable breakfast, nothing special. Average location, very touristy and popular shopping area, low quality in relation to shops and restaurants. I prefer other areas of Amsterdam, more sophisticated and with the same prices. Price-quality ratio is definitely not the best.

The cheapest room type is very small, but it is enough. It is not too far from the tourist area and swimming pool. The biggest disadvantage is that the hot water is not hot enough. Taking a bath in winter is quite uncomfortable.

Great hotel, nice staff, fantastic location, nice room and good breakfast. Dam square and Amsterdam Central Station are about 10 min walk. Only slight drawbacks are no elevator and narrow staircase, which isnt great if you have a bit of luggage. There is no ac, the top floors get a little warm, but they provide a fan which is suffficent in May. The towels are clean, but getting a bit thread bare and should probably be replaced. These are all minor problems and I would gladly come back to stay again.

I had a great night at Hotel Des Arts during my business trip to Amsterdam. The location was amazing and service top notch. Would recommend!

Lovely hotel with helpful staff. This hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are narrow, so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues..
