This hotel needs to be closed! It is absolutely filthy. Didn’t shower during our 2 night stay as the shower cubicle was that disgusting. Bathroom smelt of stale urine. Building work going on in the room above that we weren’t informed of. Awoken at 8am to plaster being knocked off the walls and brushed along the floor to the skip outside. Came back from “breakfast” - which was dire....to find workmen in our room as the work being done had caused some of the ceiling to crack and the light fitting came loose spreading dust everywhere.

Where to start?.Reception is the Kitchen!! Our room was out in the back garden.Three beds,1 tiny window,no wardrobe, not even a single drawer so nowhere to put clothes.Bases of beds were ripped and stained.Picked up 10 pieces of broken glass from the floor!! Got offered another room. Was up in the attic with access up 4 flights of very steep, very narrow steps with no handrails. If there was a fire below you'd be trapped.Stayed the 1st night of a 3 night trip as had no choice but moved somewhere else next day.To be fair we were refunded for 2 nights and given a part refund for the night we stayed.Would definitely say stay somewhere else.

❌AVOID AVOID AVOID ❌First of all, ITS NOT A HOTEL IT’S AN OVERPRICED HOSTEL. Check in was stated 11am on email confirmation We arrived at our hotel to be told that our room wasn’t ready to come back around at 3 or 4. Came back & checked in which cost us just under €400 without breakfast, our friends were giving a room which was more like a garden shed out the back garden that was full of mould & dampness with a huge gap under their door and when she asked could she change rooms they said sorry no we are fully booked we will give you a heater! Our room was on the 4th floor with ladders for stairs that were very steep, Anyway In our room their was long black hairs stuck to my socks from someone else like the floor wasn’t cleaned. A cushion that was on my bed for “fancy” had ***** stains all over it 🙈🤮 it was absolutely vile. Reception stag told me that I had gotten the best room that everyone wants!! We were all destroyed with bites from bed big or fleas or something from the beds (all 6 of us) Noise all night long it sounded like someone was in our room! Absolute disaster. When staff was told they didn’t seem bothered by it. Hence the review! Overall we had a ball in Amsterdam.

Dollar for dollar, the worst, lowest value hotel I have stayed in over the past 50 years of travel. I was assigned to Room #18, in a small shack/outbuilding behind the hotel. The room was pathetic. Dirty, poorly maintained, and very noisy due to the people in the room next door and people congregating in the small courtyard. The carpet tiles moved around all over the place. The bathroom was filthy--someone's clipped toenail and hairs on the floor. The internet didn't have enough range to reach my room. I complained to the woman at the front desk and she just sort of shrugged and said there was nothing to do. The biggest problem on top of it all--I had to pay 202 Euros a night for the worst stay I've ever had, and I have travelled extensively around the world. It deserves a ZERO rating.

A very well located hotel, close to museums, transit, and cafes. A clean and airy room with 4 beds. Welcoming staff. Would definitely stay again. You should know that this hotel is in an old house and the stairs that go up to the rooms are narrow and twisting. Definitely not for anyone with mobility issues.

myself and my wife was here for a 3 day stay. we were in room number 19, which , you had to go outside of the main door, and go into a small door, (right next door to the main door) and into the room. I guess it's a bit like a basement room, so when you opened the curtains and look out the window, you are staring at the pavement! the room itself we really small, nowhere to put your belongings or clothes away. just 4 small hooks at the back of the door. The beds were single beds just pushed up the side of each other to make them look like a double bed, ( which did not fool me!!)They were so uncomfortable it was shocking. they're ally have to replace the beds in that room.!!the room was clean and the bathroom with shower was also clean. there was a television but no tea/coffee making facilities.!!!( the 1st hotel I have ever stayed in that's ever had this) even the cheapest travelodge or Premier travel Inn in the UK, has tea/coffee making facilities! the 2 members of staff I saw were very polite, friendly, and helpful. no problem there, breakfast was OK, although a little basic Only a 2 slice toaster, why not get another toaster?? just a basic continental variety. but as I said, ok. the hotel was in a nice location, just on the side of a canal, however, it was quite a distance to walk to the attractions, - Heineken experience, museums, Dam Square. Ann Frank House, ect, I recommend buying a tram ticket. for the duration of your say, it worked for us, a total life saver. there is a tram stop, just around the corner from the hotel.

The hotel is located in a great location for walking to the centre (15-20 minutes). The neighbourhood has a supermarket next door and plenty of restaurants in the area. The hotel has the typical steep stairs of Dutch houses. It is modest but comfortable and clean. Our room, on the first floor, was spacious for three people. The bathroom was recently renovated. They don't serve breakfast, but in the reception there is a small area with four tables and a coffee machine, microwave, kettle, etc. where you can bring your breakfast and make yourself a coffee. The staff is lovely and willing to help with anything you need. An oriental guy was especially friendly. Our stay was great. Without a doubt, if we return to Amsterdam, we would stay there again.

The hotel is close to the center and you can get to cultural places in a short time. The only bad thing is that they don't do daily cleaning but the staff is very friendly and helpful. For an unpretentious relaxing holiday it's great
