Spinoza Suites

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spinoza Suites. It is located in a quieter neighborhood of Amsterdam (much better in our opinion), and we walked to several sites from here and used the very close tram station too. The canal suite offered ample light, beautiful views of the canal, a petite patio, a lovely night’s sleep, ample drink options and a couple snacks too (all included). Best of all, Patrick and Erik made sure we enjoyed our trip. They are lovely hosts and go above and beyond: bringing our luggage up to the room, providing recommendations, checking in with us and even setting up a taxi for our transfer to the dock. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I are just home from a wonderful break here. The room was immaculate. Everything was so well organised. Restaurant recommendations are well worth checking out. Such a peaceful, quiet and charming location. Attention to little details and a warm friendly welcome from Patrick all added to the lovely experience. Nothing is too much trouble. Well located for the metro and walking into the city. If you are looking for a homely but comfortable and modern place to stay this is the place for you. The bed was super comfortable too. Oh and I must add how handy the fridge was and how near you are to a supermarket for those little snacks and treats.

It was very clean, great location, great daily cleaning and complimentary minibar. Almost in the city but quite with close train station…tv facility was great with netflix. But overall we enjoyed a lot. No breakfast but great close breakfast places they already share in a paper in the room

Spinoza Suites are a wonderful respite from touristy central Amsterdam. It is located on a tree-lined, quiet street overlooking a canal in the university area. It is conveniently located both to trams and a subway line, making easy access to anywhere in Amsterdam. The canal suite balcony was wonderful for breakfast before a busy day of sightseeing. The true king size bed is a rarity in Europe and was much appreciated each evening. Patrick is a thoughtful, gracious host, communicating well prior to our arrival and accommodating any requests during our eight night stay. Two caveats: The suite is located on the second floor with a narrow staircase and it is not a true apartment with kitchen facilities. But the small refrigerator, Nespresso machine, and water kettle more than suited our needs. I cannot recommend enough the suite and its wonderful owner, Patrick.

If you are looking for a quiet and romantic place in Amsterdam - this is the place. It is close to the public transport and you can go anywhere easily. We ( my husband and me ) spent 3 nights in the Canal Suite with a beautiful view to the canal with boats . The suite looks exactly like in the pictures, very clean with fresh flowers in the room and a cute sign welcoming us.The bed is so comfortable, long enough for tall people. We had a bottle of Champagne ( included in the room price )and spent a romantic evening at the balcony looking to the canal. But the best thing about the place is Patrick’s and Eric’s attitude towards their guests. They made sure we had a wonderful three days in Amsterdam and helped us with everything we needed to feel comfortable , gave us advices about places and restaurants to go and made our stay unforgettable. Beautifully designed room in a quiet street right in the city centre. The room is equipped with everything you’d need and they’ve thought of every detail. Erik and Patrick are great hosts that make you feel right at home. The place is located very central with lots of good connections to public transport. The whole building is very charming and makes for the very best stay in Amsterdam one could wish for!
