Holiday Apartments in Lake Tekapo

This apartment is the most satisfying place on this trip. It can be said to be amazing. First of all, all the equipment is available, just like going home. Then the apartment is incredibly large. The living room and kitchen are so big that you can do somersaults. The equipment is very new and clean. The kitchen is equipped with all possible supplies. The scenery here is also great. You can see the lake from the living room. There are two super large balconies. Our family of three lives in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a small farm not far away where you can pet animals. It takes only a few minutes to drive to the town center. In short, everything is perfect, but it’s a pity that we only stayed for one night. Facilities: Everything is available. The first thing we did when we arrived was to wash and dry clothes. It’s so convenient. The heating is also super comfortable, the bathroom is brand new and clean, the kitchen appliances are very complete, and there is free milk. Hygiene: Very clean Environment: Facing Lake Tekapo, beautiful scenery Service: Very good, the landlord introduced the house to us

If you want to feel the private garage and small villa, then come to this one. It's really a completely different experience, it's the feeling of renting a house. We arrived late because of the closure of Highway 8 and responded immediately after ringing the bell. This one has a bathtub and can take a bath. There is also an electronic fireplace. The style is in place. There is even a rice cooker 🥰 to completely solve the Chinese stomach. The starry sky is so beautiful! Looking up is the starry sky. The sun is spilled on the bedside in the morning. The door is Tekapo. Recommend to stay a few more days. Disadvantages: No active cleaning service. This service may be provided after further communication.

This is one of the most well equipped and comfortable place I’ve stayed in. All 7 of us loved the place so much. Feels so much like home, everything is high quality and very very comfortable. Love this place.

We had a great one night stay at the apartment and wish that we could stayed longer. The place is full of amenities needed for living all spotless clean. Great location in a very peaceful neighborhood. Beds are super comfy. We would love to recommend to our friends and would love to be back again.

This guesthouse feels like it's run by Chinese people! They really understand Chinese needs. The beds have electric blankets, and the rooms have heating and power strips. The bathroom has a heater for showering! Plus, there's a kitchen where you can cook! It's also very close to the supermarket, just a 5-minute drive, so you can buy some steaks to fry back at the guesthouse! There's even a dishwasher. Just make sure to clean up the kitchen after use, especially if you're not cooking anything too heavy-duty!

The location is fantastic, very easy to find, and super close to the lake. The parking right outside is a real bonus for those driving. The room facilities are comprehensive, and the bathroom is incredibly spacious and wheelchair-accessible. There's nothing obstructing the view outside, so you can stargaze directly from the entrance at night.

We stayed in unit A, the unit is part of a house that has been converted into 3 units. There is no sound proofing between the units. There are no net curtains in the lounge which means as the other unit owners walk passed the patio door they can see in.  The bins for all units are outside the unit so are noisy as other units use them. The property is dark and you need a light on all the time.  Parking is good, the property is very clean  . I won’t recommend this property.

We are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated. 3 points here to explain the terrible experience. 1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV! 2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon! 3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience! In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment. I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review. Thanks.

Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it was definitely the worst place we stayed during our New Zealand trip. Tekapo is super popular, and even booking four months in advance for over a thousand dollars a night, this was the best we could get. If possible, book half a year ahead during the off-peak season. This property is a whole holiday home divided into three apartments (A, B, C) for rent. Apartment A faces the lake, which is more like a small pond, but it does have ducks and wild rabbits. The view is pretty average by New Zealand standards. It's also a 15-20 minute walk to the town center's Four Square supermarket, which can be tiring if you have a lot of luggage and no car. The soundproofing in the room is really bad; we had noisy neighbors all night. The most ridiculous thing is that there isn't a single usable table or chair inside the room. The only option is the outdoor patio furniture, but it was raining when we were there, so we couldn't use it anyway. Plus, the neighbors' kids were ill-mannered and stepped all over it, so I doubt anyone would want to eat there. Even more outrageous, the water pressure in the bathroom was almost nonexistent. You'd get better pressure from a garden hose! The bathroom itself is quite spacious, but that's pointless. The Wi-Fi is shared among the three apartments, and you have to stand in a specific spot in the room to get a good connection. Customer service communication is old-school email, but at least they reply once a day. The most chilling part was on check-out day: the key safe outside had been tampered with; someone had pressed the code. I distinctly remember scrambling the numbers. Oh well, luckily there was no key inside. If you can accept all these points, then this room is perfect for you.

The room wasn't soundproofed, and there was only one bathroom for both bedrooms... The bathroom exhaust fan automatically turned on whenever the light was on, and it was incredibly loud, clearly audible in both bedrooms. Even after turning off the light, the fan would continue running for about 30 minutes, which was unbearable. Aside from its convenient location, it had absolutely no other redeeming features...
