The name of the hotel is strange😳, I didn't expect much. But the service and dinner level exceeded expectations. The location is on the mountain, and it is not easy to go up from Atami Station. I came to Atami before Christmas and was lucky enough to see the fireworks. There are private baths in the room, as well as public baths and saunas.

Standard Japanese-style hot spring hotel, on the mountainside, the art museum will pass a little more. Taxi from Shizuoka Station is generally about 1500YEN. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the station and several fixed points at 4 fixed times in the morning, and a taxi is required to enter and exit at other times. Breakfast is normal. The view is very good. If you catch up with the fireworks conference, you may see fireworks in the room, right? The public bathroom is very ordinary, and the room with private soup is more comfortable, but you have to go to the public bathroom door to get a piece of ice cream strip and ice milk for each person.
Experience a new style of travel in Atami! Enjoy a comfortable stay with self-catering options at the couple-only "Hitotoki-tei," which features rooms with open-air baths. Plus, there's a rooftop BBQ terrace where you can watch the Atami fireworks festival, along with Atami hot springs and a hotel with a garage that can accommodate group rentals, "Honkan: ATAMI SPRING TERRACE HOTEL."

It is a public toilet and a Japanese-style room, you have to make your own bed. Very Japanese local travel flavor! The top floor terrace can see Atami Beach and the sunrise, which is beautiful. It is very inconvenient to go up and down the mountain with luggage. It is recommended to take a taxi, but it is not far from the beach and the shopping street, but the whole Atami is on the slope. If you know how to use it, no one checks in is actually very convenient.

The B&B is on a mountain, quite far away from the seaside. Because it’s up the mountain, it’s quite tiring to go up there. The sanitation and facilities of the B&B are quite satisfactory and quite acceptable. It will be a little more expensive when there is a fireworks display. Although the rule of the B&B is that you cannot smoke anywhere in the B&B, some guests still smoke in the room unconsciously. Because it is a wooden house, the smell of smoke will spread everywhere. When I finally checked out, because there had just been an earthquake in the morning, I couldn't go past the 10 o'clock check-out time for even one minute. I couldn't even sit in the living room for a while and drink some water before leaving. The attitude of the service staff (Chinese) seemed a bit like they were rushing. The way people walked was very unpleasant. I have stayed in so many Japanese hotels and B&Bs and I have never experienced anything like this.

The hotel is on the mountain and it is easier to walk up the ramp. The room is clean and tidy, the scenery outside the window is very good, the hot springs are particularly comfortable, and the large terrace is also very suitable for leisure after bathing. The service attitude of the clerk is also very good

Hotel is near to Sun beach and a shopping district. It also provides shuttle bus service to the train station and is really convenient. Shout out to staff Fukumara Imelda! Excellent service from her and she acceded to my request for a change in room (with a top up fee) and made the procedures real smooth! Worth a stay for families as the rooms with tatamis are huge.

We stayed at the hotel for the Atami Fireworks. Location is a nice easy walk down the slopes to the shopping streets. Plenty of amenities nearby. Room was clean and the space was well thought out. Staff is helpful. The carpark attendant that day wasn't the most friendly but that didn't spoil the stay.
We were recommended not to drive to the pier for the fireworks because of traffic jam, which turns out to be true as cars were waiting just get out of carparks. However, it's a steep walk back after the fireworks as we followed google maps for the shortest route back but it surprised us with stairs. Could be an easier walk if we had retrace our steps although the distance would be longer.
Just a few minutes walk from Atami Station Atamis Hidden Village was born with the theme of a summer resort of the heart with a projector screen in a large Japanesestyle room
It is easy to think that the environment where hotels inns resort condominiums etc are lined up is not necessarily suitable for the name of Hidden Village but if you visit the building one step Atami is so quiet Was there a space

The trip to Atami and Izu exceeded our expectations. My family loved it, especially the Atami Hideaway Holiday House where we stayed. The proprietress is Chinese and very enthusiastic. On the day of arrival, she gave us a detailed explanation and recommended the popular attractions in Atami, including how to get there, what are the characteristics, etc. It was very valuable for us who came to Atami for the first time. We also walked along the route recommended by the proprietress. It felt much better than wandering around by ourselves, saving a lot of time! Let me talk about the hotel room: it is super big and very quiet. You can see the seaside in the room. It is a typical Japanese style. The facilities and hygiene are very good! I also recommend the hot springs in the hotel. It is very refreshing to soak after coming back from shopping at night. When we went to Atami Station, the Japanese boss drove us there specially. In short, the evaluation of this hotel is absolutely true. I highly recommend friends who come to Atami to stay here. It is very worthwhile!

It's very convenient, it takes less than 10 minutes to get there once you get out of the station, there's a lot of food outside, and many shops to walk around. Two meals in one place is top-notch food! We all had a great time eating. The hotel also helped us prepare a birthday cake and gave me a very thoughtful gift. thanks! Will definitely come back to play when I have the chance!

Hotel has shuttle bus from the JR station. But is OK just to walk over as there are some small shops worth a look. Breakfast and dinner are good. With lot of Japanese traditional dishes. Hot spa and laundry is an add on plus with this reasonable price of the hotel. This is the hotel I stay every time when in Atami.

Excellent
GGuest UserVery good experience, the check-in process is relatively simple. The room is very clean, the overall facilities look very new, the room faces the sea, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the Atami Bay from a distance when you get up, very comfortable.
The beverage bar on the first floor will be replenished in time, and there are actually staff to help solve any problems.
The bathhouse on B1 is not crowded, and it is also very clean. It is very comfortable to take a bath after a day of fun.
There is a rooftop on the top floor where you can lie on the net bed to watch the stars. There is even a party room, children's books and office cubicles on the second floor, which is really thoughtful.
AAlan Kirkland StaunI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.
EEmmm_ptyThe Japanese-style sea view room I stayed in also had someone help me lay out the tatami mat during meal time. I have stayed in a similar room in Izu, so I suggest you book a twin room here. The hotel has a shuttle bus to and from Atami Station, and the breakfast and dinner are average.
GGuest UserService is excellent. Once we called them at Atami Train Station, their car arrived in 10 mins to pick us up. The free ride from/to train station is very helpful. Free drinks and snacks during happy hours 3-5pm is very good. We have seafood, beef, fish and semi buffet for dinner. The beef was good. Fish is okay. Overall the services are very good and staffs can speak English that made it easy to communicate. The ocean view from our room is beautiful.
CConstantin Maximilian+:
The service was really kind and let me check in even though the beds weren't made since I was way too early.
The location is really nice not too far away from the train station and close to the sea side promenade and beach.
Luggage store room under bed was quite spacious
They have an extra room with a small billard table
-:
only one shower and toilet for men (same for women), so you had to wait sometimes, the most in the morning before check out.
Entrance is hard to find in a dark small alley in the corner of a street.
CCYYTheir service is wonderful. We left a charger in our room and they quickly locate it and return it. I understand that they use a plastic bag to hold all customer property left in their room and labelled it with dates and room no. This shows how they care about their customers and address to things systemically with every single details. This is one of the many times I forgot things in hotel and public transport and can get things back every time. Speechless!
LLee DavidJust 10 mins walk from Atami Station. Stayed 3 nights and totally enjoed my stay. Hostel was decent, clean and tidy. Staying in hostel will need luck hopefully the persons staying besides your capsule do not snore at all. The onsen was a bonus.
YYuanzhongwuyingbuxierenI want to praise this hotel!
I was a little nervous when booking, because there were not many reviews on kkr, and it was not as popular as other hotels, but I fell in love with it the moment I walked in!
First of all, the service was really enthusiastic. From the cold Tokyo to Atami, every waiter was like the sunshine in Hawaii. The uncle at the front desk checkin introduced the precautions in detail in the best English speaking of this trip, and also recommended hot springs and Kaiseki. We had a good chat. The waiters for breakfast and dinner were also very considerate. If you want to take pictures, they will come to help. The hotel bus to the station runs twice a day, and every time the whole hotel comes out to see you off. The atmosphere is really good.
Secondly, the geographical location is within walking distance from the station. Go downhill in the direction of Yujuku Ichiban and pass the short tunnel. The main entrance of the hotel is on the second floor. Every room faces the sea, with a super large sea view balcony. If you don’t want to go out, you can sit on the balcony to watch the sea view sunrise and sunset. I must recommend the Japanese-style room. Tatami is really more comfortable than the bed. Don’t doubt it. The area is also very large. The room has a hot water machine and an ice machine. Huge entrance and three-part bathroom, all towels, bathrobes, socks and toiletries bags for hot springs are free
The second is hot springs. Who doesn't come to Atami for hot springs? The hotel's main attraction is the starry sky hot spring. The hot spring space on the top floor of the 7th floor is huge. From the lounge to the locker room to the hot spring pool, you can see the sea view. The starry sky theme of the outdoor women's hot spring can quietly watch the sunrise slowly rising over the sea in the morning, and the fishing boats go out to sea. At night, you can watch the sunset and the stars. The artistic conception is very good. It is perfect for thinking about life or emptying your mind. There are not many people, and you can often enjoy it alone. The hot spring water in Izu is also top-grade
Finally, the hotel has unlimited vegetables and fruits for breakfast, which is too precious. The kaiseki dinner has the seasonal specialty golden eye snapper, which is delicious. There are also specialties from Shizuoka and Izu for sale in the lobby. It's not expensive. The hotel also sends some specialties to the room to try
Izu Peninsula, a place I should come again next time!
GGuest UserA very comfortable experience~ The whole family had a very happy stay~
The room is relatively large, there are three futons on the tatami, two beds on the balcony, and the toilet and bathroom entrance are also very spacious. Living on the 6th floor, the balcony can see the open-air swimming pool and the sea not far away. The welcoming cakes and senbei are very delicious~ Yukata and toiletries are available in the lobby on the first floor.
There are four major categories of public baths. The Roman bath is the largest (with a sauna and a cold water pool) and the flower bath is also relatively spacious (also with a sauna and a cold water pool). The open-air bath on the top floor is relatively small, and it is not easy to soak with many people. Then there are several family baths, which are first-come, first-served, and queued. All baths are included in the room rate, and you can soak in them all, which is still very fun.
The breakfast is very complete and delicious~ It feels so grand with one or two hundred people dining at the same time~
There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk who will tell you a lot of details, which is very considerate
The hotel also has a shuttle bus. It is recommended to confirm the time and shuttle point in advance. If you miss it, you can take the bus, which is also very convenient
It just feels like the gate is like an iron fence, and it is relatively old. It can be renovated~
PPumpkinOverall, it could be rated excellent as a local ryokan but may not be ready for international clients. It has won Rakuten bronze award 2023. I am particular about smoking and the non smoking room was full of smoky smell. Also surprised that I have to set up my own tatami bed etc. Staff dependent on google translate but stranded when there's no WiFi. They could have translated common phrases in text. Nice garden.
