Ten Moons Lipe Resort

From the moment we arrived via boat to the most beautiful setting, we were breath taken! The private beach is great for snorkeling and safe for kids. Our room (no. 6) was a good size, nice balcony, some sea views and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist who was always smiling and super friendly. Of our 8-day stay in Koh Lipe, we spent 3 nights here. By comparison, the hotel we moved to next was marginally cheaper, also with a high (but not as high) rating. Ten Moons was the better deal!!! Pros: - Stunning location - Large glass water jug in the room (which was refilled daily using a 5 gallon water bottle rather than multiple small plastic bottles). Great to see the hotel reducing the use of plastic! - Great breakfast selection - Food available all day - Clean - Staff helpful and friendly - Life jackets, beach toys, snorkels, etc available for use for free - Quiet location/very peaceful and relaxing - Lovely sand (sand texture tends to vary in Koh Lipe however it was great here!) - Walking distance or ferry ride to walking street and more livelier areas Cons: - One of the few hotels not showing a sign or communicating/educating tourists NOT to step on coral. The by-product is that there isn’t a lot of live coral to see although there is still a lot of fish life. By comparison, we saw a hotel further down actively promoting not to stand on coral with staff educating tourists - No pool (although not needed as the sea area is more than ample to swim in) - No kayaks (available for hire at THB200 per hour nearby, less than a minute walk away) - Not for people who struggle with stairs (although there are a couple of villas on the beach without the use of stairs) We would most certainly stay here again!

The hotel boasts an excellent location with breathtaking views. However, the only downside is the absence of a communal swimming pool. Private pools are exclusively available with pool-access rooms; standard rooms do not have them. For vacationers, please note that breakfast is à la carte when booking. In the evenings, there are several spots right next to the hotel perfect for enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. It offers excellent value for money, being slightly more affordable than Ilyn and just over a hundred meters away in terms of location.

My stay at the Mountain Resort in Koh Lipe was truly an unforgettable experience! Our room was an absolute dream, featuring postcard-perfect ocean views of Koh Lipe that I will surely never forget. What really made this stay so special was the incredible staff. They were exceptionally good and attentive, treating us with a unique blend of respect and genuine affection that made us feel so welcome. The resort's amenities are also fantastic and very convenient. There is a shuttle bus service that takes you up and down the hill, running every 15 minutes during the afternoons, which made getting around effortless. Down at the beach, they have incredibly comfortable hammocks that are absolutely perfect for relaxing by the sea. I cannot recommend this resort enough. An absolutely wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty.

Excellent resort on Koh Lipe. It has everything you could possibly need. Clean, modern, comfortable and welcoming rooms and facilities. The pool design is probably the best I have ever seen - large, spacious, clean, shady and inviting. Food and drinks from the bar overlooking the ocean were good and plenty of options for the included breakfast. Location is a great spot on Sunrise beach. Free hire of snorkels, kayaks etc. plus cold drinking water refills were a huge bonus. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, unfortunately we had to cut our trip a bit short due to a medical issue, but they were so helpful during that process including taking us to the clinic and boat - thanks very much!

Anda resort was very nice! The staff at the reception were super helpful in organising our island hopping excursions, arranging kayak rides and snorkel gears. They provided a free upgrade (likely because it was low season) for us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and room cleaning was done nicely every day. The resort has a restaurant which served decent food, which was nice since the walking street was a distance away (~10 mins at a slow walking pace). The only thing was that the massage shop attached to the resort was closed when we were there, and so we needed to walk out for other shops for massage service. The resort is situated right on sunrise beach, but be careful! There are some small corals and fishes not too far out, and while swimming we saw some sea urchins, so make sure to steer clear of that. Overall was a very nice trip, made extra comfortable with the help of the very friendly staff. Extra note: staff was even helpful enough to provide a bowl of rice for us when one of our phones was submerged with water. We really appreciated that!

Koh Lipe is a really untouched island. It's about a 1.5-hour speedboat ride from Langkawi, but the immigration process for both Malaysia and Thailand is just awful. Expect to wait in the sun for 1-2 hours; it's a normal level of inefficiency. If you're particular about hotel quality and environment, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. We stayed in a treehouse pool room, and there were so many dead beetles, mosquitoes, and flies. Right outside the hotel, there's a stinky ditch and a very run-down local slum. The water quality is also really poor; we had to change our filter shower head every day. The only good thing is that the snorkeling water is better than in Langkawi. Honestly, if you're not super into snorkeling, you're much better off finding a nice hotel in Langkawi and just chilling out for a few days.

This hotel has an amazing sense of style — everything feels thoughtfully designed and really stands out. The atmosphere is modern, unique, and super inviting. What truly made the stay special, though, was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always smiling, which made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish place with great service.

Pros: 1. **Location:** It's not right by the bustling pedestrian street, so it's relatively quiet, yet only a 5-10 minute walk away. 2. It's a detached, single-story villa with a private terrace. 3. The room has a minimalist design, and there's plenty of hot water for showers. 4. The beach is just a few steps from the room. 5. There are exclusive beach chairs available on the beach. 6. The breakfast is substantial, mainly Western-style. 7. They offer shuttle services. Cons: 1. The room is a bit run-down; many facilities are old or loose. 2. The island in general is a bit noisy and too crowded. 3. At over 1000 RMB per night during peak season, it's not great value for money. 4. The immigration and departure points on the island for boarding/disembarking boats are quite chaotic. You have to pay the island fee upfront. Be aware that the ATM next to immigration charges half the withdrawal amount in fees – a definite rip-off. 5. The staff on the Thai transfer boat were rude and crammed everyone onto one vessel.

The position of the bungalows are right on sunrise Beach. We had bungalow number three which is on the beach from and perfect every morning. I don’t think I would want to stay in any other bungalows past the first two rows they’re basic but sufficient and we had a great stay here. There are lots of boats, but it really isn’t a problem. Easy to walk to walk straight probably 10 to 15 minutes. The breakfast was basic but sufficient I would stay here again.
