We loved our stay so much that we decided to extend for two more nights. While we didn’t get the exact room we had hoped for, the staff went out of their way to find us a similar one, ensuring we were comfortable and satisfied. Their dedication and hospitality truly stood out. If you’re planning to immerse yourself in the many activities Ubud has to offer, this hotel is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

The service provided by the staff were awesome. They are always friendly and tries their best to fulfil your request. Every time when I return to the hotel from outside, they would say welcome back and ask if I need help with anything. Service is definitely not an issue. Breakfast options were amazing and you can pretty much skip lunch if you ate their breakfast. As for the bathroom, I felt that the curb was too low so the water kept seeping out. Other than the swimming pool and yoga, there weren't much things to do. I felt that the shuttle bus timings to the Coco Supermarket can be adjusted so that the interval would not be too long.

During our stay, my child fell ill (digestive issue) and I was deeply grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the receptionist and Service Express staff, particularly Safitri. She consistently followed up on my child's well-being, showing genuine care and attentiveness (from doctor recommendation, daily follow up, to complimentary plain porridge suited to my child's needs).
I was truly impressed by their outstanding service and hospitality. Of course, the hotel's amenities were in line with the high standards expected of a five-star establishment.

A very nice boutique experience. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The glamping tents are very well appointed - luxurious king size bed, coffee and tea in room, daily fruit platter, afternoon tea. The included breakfast has to be selected from an ala carte menu and is prepared to order. The breakfast preparation was a bit inconsistent but we did not want to make a fuss about it. Sometimes it was brought cold, at other times the egg was overdone or the bread was not toasted at all, on one day they ran out of bacon, another day avocado and fresh coconut water were sold out. But keeping in mind that this boutique hotel has only 18 rooms it is understandable that they need to order and stock food carefully. I guess if every guest on a particular day asked for avocado then they probably ran out - in a way it's a good sign that they keep only limited and fresh stock to reduce waste.
Another minor irritant was the fact that there is a factory shed right next to the property and these guys had loud motorised cutters that would start operating intermittently by 9:00 am. The noise can be heard all over the property.
All in all though it was an enjoyable stay. The warm hospitable and ever smiling staff helped to us to overlook the few minor drawbacks.

The overall experience of staying at Alena Resort is good, but there are a few aspects that make me feel less good: The resort is about 5 kilometers away from the center of Ubud. Access basically relies on shuttle buses, self-driving or app-hailing. Shuttle buses go back and forth 4 times a day. If you miss the next trip, you have to wait for 3 hours for the next one, which is inconvenient. During the 3-day stay, the room was carelessly picked up on one of the days. Some belongings were even put aside randomly, and the smell was smelled every day. The pillows had an odor/sweat smell; the Wi-Fi reception in the room I stayed in was poor and there were several locations where Wi-Fi could not be received.
In addition to the poor experience mentioned above, the service attitude of the staff and the quality of the food in the restaurant are both good!

RRavi154Book this hotel if you’re looking to stay in Ubud. Amazing amazing staff. We were greeted by Ade who showed us around the hotel and apologised for the traffic we faced while on our way from Seminyak ( not his fault hahaha). He explained us where all the amenities are and how we can maximise our stay in Ubud.
The hotel is on a cliff so all rooms are downstairs which is super cool! All the rooms are suites with either Pool or Jacuzzi.
Because of small number of rooms, the hotel feel intimate and staff is always there to assist you with smile on their face.
Coming to the room; the room we stayed in was Jacuzzi Suite. Massive room and very new and clean. Comes with free mini bar (yesss).
Breakfast options are alright but the best thing is they have three set menus which they make fresh based on your order apart from A la carte. Yes they have vegetarian options too.
The best part about this hotel and I urge the staff and hotel to promote is the massive art collection/museum that they have. When I say massive; it is 5 storeys!!!! We went for a tour and were blown away with how much effort the owner has put in curating the art and showing the rich culture of Bali. One of the staff member named Rai also showed us the traditional Balinese house and explained how it is built.
They also have free shuttle to Ubud Centre which is a huge plus for anyone looking to go to the main market for shopping/ eating/.
Don’t think twice about booking this hotel. If you do; you may miss what this hotel has to offer!

My accommodation is a large one-bedroom pool villa with an area of 430 square meters, a separate living room, and all the facilities are exquisite. From the curtains drawn by the bathtub in the room, you can see the green all around, which makes people feel happy.

LLindaThe resort hotel hidden in the tropical rainforest was completed in 2022. The facilities are very new and comfortable, the rooms are warm and romantic, and I especially like the bamboo building for morning yoga, which overlooks the surprising rice fields. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast is so exquisite, reflecting the French style. Looking forward to coming again.

VVivian FaEverything is great, but the location is far away with everything. Hotel have shuttle bus to the Sanur beach and the art market, but only once everyday. The service of the hotel is great, but only at night, it’s the peak time in the morning, everything takes time. The F&B inside the hotel is great and also with the great view.

TTrixie OnyxWow what an incredible place! Absolutely amazing! The location is great. The amenities are also wonderful. The staff is phenomenal, kind, thoughtful, respectful, just all round pleasant people.
The food was amazing and they always kept my allergies in mind when preparing the food. I went there with my partner to celebrate my birthday and the team made great efforts to ensure I had a cake for my special day and every staff member remembered my birthday and wished me a happy birthday.
The room was so clean and they always came through when we needed adjustments.
The views were spectacular and the pool was great.
I would 110% come back to this incredible place for their immaculate service and villa.

GGuest UserThe facilities are very good, the health is generally the service is particularly lightning protection, especially Ryan, the manager who received the reception, is full of lies, especially unreliable.
The beginning of the story starts with Ryan receiving us: we are looking for someone to pick us up to the villa, because the villa is in the village, the car is not able to drive in, so take the initiative to contact the villa head Ryan. 1. No reply to messages, no answer: This Ryan manager does not reply to messages on WhatsApp, so I found another manager to urge Ryan to reply to messages. And the manager killed the serial caller, directly refused to answer customer calls many times.
2. Late reception: After we arrived at the parking lot outside the villa village, it was completely inconsistent with the punctual reception that we had communicated before. We were nearly 20 minutes late. The two of us took a lot of luggage and then exposed to the sun for 20 minutes. The late Ryan manager rode his battery car to pick us up. The reply was: There is an emergency, there is an accident (the usual trick in Southeast Asia)
3. Obsessed with cheating money: the name is help us about SPA, we choose the most expensive one 600,000 door-to-door SPA, and then feel that we are stupid money, tell us to pay 100,000 more people, equivalent to two to pay 200,000 more; My first reaction was that Ryan was going to cheat money, and then he quarreled with him and finally said to help us save 200,000.
Irresponsible:
(1) I am a person who likes to live in villas very much. Every time I live in various villas, I will encounter patient and responsible guides to introduce villas and understand local characteristics and room environment. But this Ryan did not have any guidance and introduction.
(2) Laundry service is even more eye-catching: the day before, Ryan said that he needed laundry service, he said that he needed to pay, we said no problem, willing to pay, we told him that the dirty clothes need to be washed three times, this Ryan directly agreed and said no problem. The next afternoon, I went home and found that the clothes were not washed at all, and I confiscated them. Then I asked him and said: Forgot it. I really met such an irresponsible person for the first time.
