Huts Rock Ubud Reviews

For the price and serenity, this place is worth a look. It feels new-ish with "brave" rock and cement based architecture. Rooms aren't many, but are really nice, and reflect the photos. No f&b or bar or gym...a small pool that's more form over function. But nevertheless, it stands out as a bit of a hidden gem in the environs of Ubud.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Clean large room with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was massive! Very pleasant stay Staff: very welcoming and helpful. Location: approximately 1 hour walk from Ubud Central or a supposedly 20minute taxi ride (traffic is terrible). Probably best to rent a motorcycle. Would stay again 👍🏻

Near to Ubud but not in central Ubud, requires a 10 to 15 minute drive or scooter ride out to get to the hotel. No car parking at the hotel but there's an open spot outside the hotel on the road and some open space across the road on an open field. Motorcycles can park in the compound. Proprietor / owner is very friendly and easy going. Hotel isn't in the best condition anymore and some basic refurbishment or major cleaning would help it's image. Cleanliness could be improved, floors are slightly dusty but overall not bad.

Overall I’m pretty happy about choosing the huts rock, I stayed 2 nights with my mom, the host was very friendly, breakfast was nice, reasonable price, very fresh. Room was quiet and spacious.

The room is spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The location is also very good. It takes about five or six minutes to get to the city center by motorcycle.

I stayed here for 4 weeks recently. I had originally intended to travel around more, but I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable at Huts Rock that I decided to stay for the duration of my time in Bali. The position is great, just about 5 minutes or so by motorbike to the centre of Ubud. As with all places in and around Ubud, the traffic is busy. Huts Rock does a great job of masking the traffic noise with the calming sound of water falling from the water features into the pool. The accommodation is also set a fair way back off the road, which helps. The 2 different rooms I stayed in were very comfortably sized, well equipped and furnished, and perfectly suited to a solo traveller or couple. Great big bathrooms are a luxury. Each room has its own outdoor space with seating. As I was on the 3rd floor you could describe this as a balcony I guess. A further great feature of the property is the 2 zen like yoga areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors that are available at all times for guests to use. I was lucky enough that my stay coincided with a very friendly yoga teacher who took an impromptu class for a couple of us. Overall it is a really nice property. The architecture is a mixture of traditional Balinese with some other more modern influences that go to make up an impressive series of joined buildings surrounding the central pool. I must also mention the staff. During my stay there was an excellent chef present who prepared great meals as required. The food was tasty and healthy, it was a real privilege to have this available. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They gave me so much help - lifts to town and other places, arranged day trips, laundry, massages, and they were just very nice to chat with. This is a great place if you are happy to spend that little bit extra and get a serviced room and all the support you would need for a stress-free stay in Bali.
